The Gate died with a wail that echoed across the night. Its lustrous colors sparked and fizzled out of existence quickly, leaving the small city in darkness, except for the huge searchlight burning through the night to reveal Faust and Nirvana standing there.
The exasperated look on his face told a simple story: he was most definitely not meeting the World Council today.
They were like the least important thing on his mind with Nirvana pressed against him.
She looked up at him, crimson eyes alight with unsaid words, before he finally spoke.
"Let's go. I'll use that weird power from before, so brace yourself."
Nirvana grinned before turning a middle finger up to the searchlight.
Faust held back a laugh, turning to his stream. "Well, that's a wrap. I'm going back to my date. My next stream… I don't know, but I want to enter a Gate soon."
