Chapter 2 - chapter 2: the remembrance

"And you, what are you doing here?" Michael said, and Lilian replied, "Oh my darling, you know we are old enough to get married; besides, we are all rich." "Can you please shut up? I don't like you, and I will never like you," said Michael. Michael and Lilian picked a fight in the presence of his parents. "Can you all shut up and stop acting like kids?" said Michael's father. Lilian left angrily, and Michael's parents tried to hold her back, but to no avail, so she left. "Please, Michael, you know that we have a very big contract with 'Likalin Cosmetics Company,' which is the Lilian family's company," said his mom. And Michael replied, "Mom, I don't care, and I don't want to know, so please, you people should let me because I am tired and fed up with all your nonsense. I will get married, but to the woman I love and not Lilian." Michael left his room angrily. "Michael! Michael! Come back here; I'm talking to you," the mother said. But Michael didn't answer her. Michael's mom always cries whenever she remembers how her husband treated her before he became a stroke patient. "Honey, you know I love you so much, right? So please don't use my past against me; I'm very sorry for all I did to you when I was healthy," Mr. Clinton said. And she replied, "Do you know what I went through? Before I married you, you were so kind and loving, but all of a sudden, you changed, all because of those stupid girls you had an affair with. They gave you all kinds of sex styles that I can't provide, to the extent you gave them access to our company's black card to spend lavishly and recklessly. But look at where you are now—not moving. So tell me, where are they? Why didn't you call them to come assist you or take care of you now that you are sick?" "Honey, I'm very sorry for all I put you through; I promise I won't do it again, and I promise to love you right with all I have, so please find a place in your heart to forgive me. I know you have a very good heart, and that was my reason for marrying you. You know it's been 26 years since we got married," he said. Mrs. Wang, Mr. Clinton's wife, fell to the ground, gasping for air. "Where are all the maids in this house? Please come and help me; please call my son Michael," she said. One of the maids went upstairs and called Michael to come downstairs because his mother is dying. Michael flew from his bed, grabbed his clothes and car keys, and rushed his mom to the hospital (Mara's Hospital) at the accident and emergency department. The nurses came and checked her vitals, which were reading 225/100 for blood pressure, which is very high and bad for her health. Dr. Patrick came in and examined her, only to find out she was dehydrated and stressed out. After the examination by the doctor, the nurses in charge (NRS Nkem) took her to the private ward for proper and frequent treatment for her recovery. "So, Mr. Michael, we will need you to go to the pharmacy department to get the required drugs for her treatment," Dr. Patrick said. "But sir, I don't know my way to the pharmacy department; please give me the address or order one of the nurses to accompany me to the pharmacy," Michael replied. "NRS Nkem, please follow Mr. Michael to the pharmacy department to get the required drugs and direct him on how to make payments there," Dr. Patrick ordered. NRS Nkem did as he was told; she was so happy to sit with a very tall, handsome, well-to-do man. "So, Michael, I would love to say this, which has been on my mind for a long time now. I mean, I think I like you," she said. Michael encouraged her to go ahead. "You are so cute, and I doubt if you have a girlfriend or a lady in your life. I mean, I really like you from the first time I laid my eyes on you, and I love everything about you," she replied. "Oh, thank you for the compliment; I really appreciate it, but please can we focus and go get the drugs? Maybe after my mom's treatment, we can talk about us, okay?" he said. They arrived at the pharmacy and got everything that was required to buy and drove back to the hospital. Ring, ring, ring… Michael's phone rang; it was his dad. "Hello, Dad," he said. "Hello, son, how is your mom doing? Have they started the treatment?" Mr. Clinton asked. "Yes, Dad, she is okay now. The doctor said she is doing fine and will soon be discharged from the hospital." "Okay, that's fine," he replied, and the call ended. "Mr. Michael, it is a good thing that your mom is getting better and will soon be discharged," said the doctor. Three days later, the doctor discharged her and advised her not to do any hard work or shout, and he should make sure she takes her medication as prescribed. Michael took his mom to the car, and when she was about to drive off, NRS nkem approached him."I'm sorry, can I get your number? Maybe we can get to know each other better," she said. Michael agreed, and they exchanged their contact information. When Michael arrived home, he ordered the maids to prepare a delicious meal for his mom, which they did. "I'm sorry, hun," Michael's dad said, and his wife replied, "No, no, no, it's fine. I'm not mad at you, okay?" Michael organized a family gathering for them, especially for his parents, so that they could reconcile, improve their relationship, and stop fighting over little things. Mr. Clinton was busy staring at his wife. 'You are so pretty, right from the day I met you. I bless God for bringing you to me. I mean, I love you and I don't know what I could do without you,he said.
