Chapter 4 - The Signal

The world outgrew God.

We upgraded Him out of existence.

Churches became server farms.

Faith became firewalls.

Hope—just an outdated file format.

Then one night, the grid went dark.

No streams. No pings. No hum.

Only one tower still alive,

transmitting a single frequency:

J316.

Zee thought it was a virus.

Lyra said, "Play it."

He did.

Static.

Then a voice, broken but beautiful—

like thunder wrapped in a whisper.

"He is patiently waiting for you."

Every neon light in the city flared white.

Phones screamed.

The air felt heavy—like something holy was logging in.

Nel dropped to his knees.

Not in fear. In recognition.

Then all the screens in the world went blank—and one message glowed across them:

"FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD..."

The tower exploded into light.

And for the first time in centuries, the world looked up.
