Plans were made in whispers.
Under the cover of night, Jungkook and his friends spoke in hushed voices, urgency replacing laughter. Every word carried weight now—every decision felt irreversible. They would stop it. They had to.
But the noble world moved faster than hope.
Before Taehyung could take even a single step toward the Jeon estate, the Kim Clan intervened.
"Enough," an elder said firmly, blocking their path. "You will not involve yourselves in Jeon affairs."
Taehyung clenched his fists. "They're going to kill someone."
"That is not our concern," the elder replied coldly. "The Jeon Clan will handle their own matters. And until the misunderstanding between our families is resolved, you are forbidden from interfering."
Namjoon opened his mouth to argue.
Seokjin placed a hand on his arm—tight, restraining. His jaw was clenched, eyes burning with helpless fury.
Elsewhere, Jimin was stopped by the Park Clan.
"Do not test the waters with the Jeon Clan," his family warned him. "We will not be dragged into their mess."
"And Hoseok," the Jung Clan told him sternly, "you are not to involve yourself. This is beyond you."
One by one—
They were all pulled back.
All except one.
Jungkook.
Inside the Jeon estate, the air was thick with tension. Guards surrounded him the moment he tried to move, hands gripping his arms tightly, forcing him to his knees.
"Let go of me!" Jungkook shouted, struggling wildly. "Stop this—please!"
Lord Jeon Seonghwan stood above him, expression unreadable.
"You have caused enough disruption," Seonghwan said calmly. "This ends tonight."
Jungkook's breathing was ragged. "Then take me."
The room stilled.
"I am the heir," Jungkook said, lifting his head despite the guards holding him down. "If someone must die for this… let it be me."
A murmur swept through the elders.
Seonghwan studied him carefully. "You would offer your life?"
"Yes," Jungkook said without hesitation. "If it means Yoongi lives."
For a moment, it seemed like the world might pause.
Then—
"No."
Yoongi's voice cut through the hall.
Everyone turned.
Despite the chains, despite the bruises, Yoongi stepped forward as far as he was allowed, his gaze steady.
"Do not stain the Jeon name by killing its heir," Yoongi said calmly. "If a life must be taken… then take mine."
"Yoongi—!" Jungkook screamed.
Yoongi didn't look at him. His voice remained firm. "I acted alone. I bear the responsibility. Do not punish the future of this clan for my actions."
Seonghwan's eyes darkened.
"So you still claim responsibility," he said.
"Yes."
Silence fell.
Then Seonghwan raised his hand.
"Very well," he said coldly. "We will not behead him."
Jungkook's heart leapt—
Only to shatter the next second.
"Face him."
Guards forced Yoongi to his knees—directly in front of Jungkook.
"No—no, don't—!" Jungkook screamed, trying desperately to break free.
The blade was drawn.
Yoongi finally looked at Jungkook then.
And smiled.
Not in fear. Not in regret.
In reassurance.
"I told you," Yoongi said softly, "I am happy to have been at your service."
The sword came down.
Not to the neck—
But across his back.
The sound was sickening.
Yoongi's body jerked violently before collapsing forward, hitting the floor hard—motionless.
Blood spread beneath him.
"YOONGI—!" Jungkook screamed.
Something inside Jungkook broke completely.
He thrashed against the guards, sobbing openly, his voice raw as it echoed through the hall.
"You monsters! You promised—YOU PROMISED!"
Seonghwan turned away. "Let this be a lesson," he said coldly. "Loyalty misplaced leads only to ruin."
Jungkook's cries filled the room as he collapsed to the floor, reaching helplessly toward Yoongi's fallen body.
This wasn't fate anymore.
This wasn't tradition.
This was cruelty.
And Jungkook realized—too late—that the noble world didn't care who bled…
As long as power remained untouched.
