A sharp glint flickered through Clara's eyes the moment she noticed the approving look Edward was giving Ivy.
Instantly, irritation burned inside her chest.
"That's good to hear," Clara replied with a graceful smile that barely hid her displeasure. "After all, everyone deserves a chance to repent for their mistakes."
She was just about to take a seat when Xander suddenly spoke.
"Is there something else you came here to talk about?"
The calmness in his voice immediately made Clara pause.
"Huh?" Even Ivy looked at Xander in confusion.
Meanwhile, the man himself remained annoyingly composed as he lifted his eyes toward Clara.
Truthfully, Xander had already been informed about her arrival earlier after Teddy secretly texted him from outside. And knowing his family members very well, he never believed Clara's appearance today was a coincidence.
