Chapter 1 - Episode 1 – The Post That Changed Everything

Episode 1 – The Post That Changed Everything

Creekside High always looked peaceful in the morning.

Students filled the hallways with laughter, conversations, and the usual complaints about homework and tests. Lockers slammed open and shut. Teachers walked by carrying stacks of papers while trying to keep the noise under control.

From the outside, it was just another normal high school.

But that morning, something was different.

Mia felt it before she even understood why.

There was a strange tension in the air, like a storm building quietly in the distance.

She walked down the hallway with her bag resting on one shoulder, scanning the familiar faces around her. Everything looked normal, yet people seemed distracted, checking their phones more often than usual.

Some students whispered in corners.

Others looked nervous.

At first, Mia ignored it.

Until her phone buzzed.

A notification appeared on the screen.

Creek Secrets has posted something new.

Her steps slowed.

Over the past few weeks, the anonymous page had been gaining attention around school. It started as harmless gossip—confessions, rumors, embarrassing secrets people sent anonymously.

But recently, the posts had become more serious.

More personal.

And somehow, more accurate.

Mia opened the notification.

Before she could even read it, she heard more phones buzzing around her.

All over the hallway.

Within seconds, students stopped walking.

"Did you see this?"

"Oh my God…"

"No way this is real."

Curiosity pulled everyone together like gravity.

Mia's heart started beating faster as she tapped the post.

It was a video.

A shaky recording taken somewhere on school grounds.

The caption read:

"Some people pretend to be perfect. But secrets don't stay hidden forever."

A chill ran down Mia's spine.

She didn't even realize she had stopped walking until someone bumped into her from behind.

"Sorry," the student muttered, barely paying attention as they hurried to show the video to their friends.

The hallway buzzed with tension now.

Across the corridor, Riley leaned casually against a locker, scrolling through her phone. Her expression was calm—almost too calm compared to everyone else's reaction.

Riley had always been like that.

Confident.

Unbothered.

Observant.

Mia noticed something about the way Riley watched people instead of the screen. It was as if she was studying their reactions rather than the post itself.

Nearby, Zoe stood with her arms crossed, looking annoyed.

"This is getting ridiculous," Zoe said to no one in particular. "Who even runs this page?"

No one had the answer.

Jamie suddenly appeared, pushing through a group of students.

"What happened?" he asked.

Alex handed him a phone.

Jamie watched the video carefully, his expression slowly changing from confusion to concern.

"This isn't good," he said quietly.

"Someone's going to get hurt if this keeps going," Alex added.

Mia looked around again.

Something about this whole situation didn't feel random.

It felt planned.

Like someone was pulling strings behind the scenes.

And the worst part?

Whoever ran Creek Secrets clearly knew things about the students.

Real things.

Private things.

That meant the person wasn't a stranger.

They were close.

Closer than anyone wanted to admit.

Another group of students walked past, whispering nervously.

"Do you think more videos are coming?"

"Obviously."

"This account is crazy…"

Suddenly, the school bell rang loudly through the hallway.

But no one moved.

Teachers began stepping out of classrooms, trying to get students inside.

"Alright everyone, class time!"

"Phones away."

Slowly, students began to scatter, though the tension remained.

Mia walked into her classroom but couldn't focus.

The video replayed in her mind again and again.

Who recorded it?

Who posted it?

And why did it feel like this was only the beginning?

Across the room, Riley sat down at her desk, typing something on her phone before sliding it into her bag.

For a brief moment, a small smile appeared on her face.

Then it disappeared.

Mia noticed.

And it made her uneasy.

Maybe she was overthinking.

Or maybe…

Something bigger was happening at Creekside High.

Something dangerous.

Later that day, when school finally ended, the whispers had only grown louder.

Students gathered in small groups outside the building, discussing theories about Creek Secrets.

Some believed it was a senior playing a prank.

Others thought it might be someone who had been bullied.

But a few people had a darker idea.

Someone was exposing secrets on purpose.

Not for fun.

But for revenge.

As Mia walked toward the school gate, her phone buzzed again.

Another notification.

Another post from Creek Secrets.

This time, it wasn't a video.

Just a message.

Short.

Chilling.

"Episode 1 was just the start."

Mia stopped walking.

Her heart sank.

This wasn't going away.

Whoever was behind the account wasn't planning to stop.

In fact…

They were just getting started.

And the scariest part was a thought that suddenly crossed her mind.

What if the next secret…

Was about someone she knew?

Or worse.

About her.
