ara and her friends were on a tough journey to the Cathedral of Bone. It was not easy for Elara because her human body was not doing well in the cold. The System was not working right. It was giving her a lot of trouble.

Mina was trying to help Elara by whispering words of hope. The Sentinel Wolf was also with them. It was helping to keep the bad people away.
They got to the Whistling Ravine. Saw the Cathedral. It did not look like a church. It looked like a ribcage with lots of white pillars.
Lucian showed up. He did not look happy. He said the Cathedral was a place where people killed monsters and kept their hearts in vaults. The First Alphas Heart was at the bottom of the Cathedral. It was surrounded by a special liquid called Liquid Grace.
Elara was scared because the liquid was bad for her.. Lucian said it might not be so bad if she could just touch the heart.

Mina wanted to go with Elara but Elara said no. She said Mina was too bright and would get caught by the people.
Elara was the one who could sneak into the Cathedral without getting caught. She made herself look dirty and hurt so the guards would think she was a victim.
Two hours later Elara was at the gates of the Cathedral. She pretended to be hurt. The guards took her inside.
They put her in a room with hurt people and Elara waited for the right moment to sneak out.

She snuck out of the room. Followed the sound of the First Alphas Heart. She got to the Vault of Grace. It was a big room filled with the Liquid Grace. The heart was in the middle of the room. It was surrounded by silver chains.
A woman in robes was standing by the pool. She was the High Oracle. She had a special staff.
The Oracle said she knew Elara was coming. She knew why Elara wanted the heart.. The Oracle said the heart was not what Elara thought it was.
The Oracle said the heart would not give Elara power but it would make her into something
The Oracle raised her staff and the Liquid Grace started to move. Elara knew she had to make a decision.

Elara decided to take the heart. She jumped into the pool. Grabbed the heart.
Soon as she touched the heart something big happened. The room went dark. The golden light disappeared.
When the darkness went away Elara looked at her hands. They were gold.
