Adrian's POV
My hand was around his throat before I even realized I had moved.
Alexiou's back hit the wall behind my desk, his eyes widening for just a fraction of a second before that infuriating smile crept back onto his face. His hands came up, not to fight, not to push me away, but to hover in the air like he was surrendering.
Like this was all just a game to him.
"How did you get in here?" I growled, my fingers tightening around his windpipe. His pulse throbbed against my palm, steady and slow, like he wasn't scared at all. "How the FUCK did you get in here?"
Alexiou's smile widened, even as his face started to flush. "Security," he choked out, "is only as strong as its weakest employee. And let's just say....your front desk receptionist has a very expensive gambling problem."
I wanted to kill him.
I wanted to squeeze until I felt his trachea collapse under my fingers.
But I couldn't.
Because he had the video.
