'So this is how I die, huh? Well, this certainly wasn't a life I wanted to live.'
A pool was blood had been formed around Ryo's head and body. But he couldn't feel anything as the severe blood loss had made unconscious. The letter he held in his hand had become completely red.
Ryo was an intelligent guy who had just finished his high school life. He was the smartest in the entire school. But unlike every other student, he wasn't celebrating with his friends. But rather, walking alone on the street, deep in thought.
This morning, he had received a letter from the college that he was preparing for his entire high school life. A letter of rejection. The news was devastating to him. The guy who didn't even have any male friends yet alone a girlfriend, never been to any school trips, not even summer festivals, had sacrificed his entire high school life to get into the prestigious college that he had been told, only for them to send a letter of rejection at his graduation day.
Lost in thought, he didn't even realize that he was crossing the street at a green light. And just then, a vehicle came honking loudly and the worst thing happened. Ryo was hit by a truck. The impact was so strong that it sent him into a complete state of unconsciousness. The severe loss of blood had made it even worse.
He didn't have much of a life to think about. So, when it all had come to an end, he didn't have memories flashing before his eyes. At his dying breath, he wished for only one thing.
'Only if I could just relive my high school life one more time. But this time, the way I want to. I just want to have an exiting and interesting life!'
'So be it.' A low but commanding voice suddenly spoke. 'I shall grant you a life full of exiting and interesting things, just the way you wish. And in return, I ask for a small favor.'
Ryo couldn't understand where the voice was coming from or to whom it belonged. He was in no state to think; quite literally. His brain wasn't getting any oxygen to function.
'Ryo Takahashi, age 17; Do You Accept?!'
But for some reason, maybe it was a gut feeling, natural instinct, that he said-
"Yes"
And with that, he lost all his consciousness.
Suddenly the sky got dark and cloudy.
'Then let your soul be enlightened!'
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning hit Ryo right in his heart.
'For I; God, am giving you a second chance at life! To fulfill your true purpose!'
'Finally, the time has come!'

As all this was happening on Earth, someone in the other world was already preparing for his arrival.
"My Lord, I have some important news." A woman spoke in soft voice. Bowing on her knee, she continued; "It seems that God has finally found him."
"So the prophecy is true after all. Hahaha!" An elderly voice mocked from the dark.
Just then, the man sitting on the throne in the center stood up. "Shut up! There's no such thing as a prophecy. Let him come. I know what to do."
'Finally, the time has come!'
