Chapter 1 - The World Turned Upside Down

Hell -- a place where those who commit sins suffer endless torment.

Heaven a place where those who live righteously are rewarded with divine luxury.

That's what the world believes.

But the world I live in...

...is the complete opposite.

Here, those who commit evil are rewarded with comfort, power, and respect a life no less than heaven.

And those who choose to walk the path of righteousness...

...are dragged into a living hell.

My name is Yash.

And this...

...is the beginning of my journey into the Abyss.

Past-2018

The sound of chaos echoed through the classroom.

"Catch him! Don't let him escape!" Ram shouted aggressively.

"Got him, boss!" his companions replied, grabbing a trembling boy - Yash.

Ram walked forward slowly, a cruel grin spreading across his face.

"So, you like running away, huh? Don't worry... I'll teach you properly now."

Just then, the classroom door opened.

The teacher stepped in.

"What's going on back there?"

Ram immediately changed his expression, pretending innocence.

"Nothing, sir. Just teaching one of your students some manners."

The teacher glanced briefly... then turned away.

"Do whatever you want. Everyone else, focus here."

Yash's eyes widened in disbelief.

"But sir... they're bullying me-"

Ignored.

Completely.

Moments later, the classroom turned into a silent battlefield.

Punches.

Kicks.

Laughter.

Pain.

They didn't stop... not until Yash's body went limp and he collapsed unconscious on the floor.

Present - 2026

Knock. Knock.

"Master... Master?" a voice called from outside the door.

Inside a dimly lit room, a figure slowly lifted his head from a desk covered in scribbles and a worn-out diary.

"I'm alive... not dead yet," Yash muttered sarcastically.

He was wearing a hoodie, his face half-hidden in darkness as if he himself had become a part of the Abyss he once feared.

"Master, aren't you going out for your usual round today?" the bodyguard asked.

"Yeah... yeah, I'm coming."

As Yash opened the door, light hit his face, forcing him to shield his eyes.

He stepped out... heading toward a convenience store.

Meanwhile...

"Sweta, can we do today's homework together?" Rahul asked nervously.

"Of course," she smiled teasingly. "You just want an excuse to spend time with me."

Rahul blushed.

"Let's grab something from the convenience store first."

"Sure."

As they walked, Rahul accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh! Sorry, sir. I didn't see you."

Yash looked at him calmly.

"It's fine... but don't take the back alley today."

Rahul frowned.

"Huh? Okay..."

"Who was that?" Sweta asked.

"No idea. But he said not to go through the back alley."

Sweta shrugged.

"That's the shortest way. Why listen to a stranger?"

Rahul hesitated... then nodded.

"Yeah... let's go."

The Alley

Halfway through the alley...

They were surrounded.

"Well, well... what do we have here?" Raj smirked. "A couple."

"Boss, today's our lucky day," one of his men laughed.

Rahul stepped forward.

"Don't even look at her."

Raj's grin widened.

"Oh? So her name is Sweta? Good... I won't just look. I'll take her."

Before Rahul could react, he was grabbed from behind.

"Today We Can Enjoy...." Raj chuckled.

A Voice From the Darkness

"I told you not to come this way..."

Everyone turned.

Yash stood there... calm, almost bored.

"But people never listen to good advice, do they?"

Raj frowned.

"And who the hell are you?"

"Just someone passing by... who doesn't like dogs like you."

"What did you say?"

"Leave the bag you're holding and walk away," one of Raj's men sneered. "Otherwise, we'll finish our 'fun' first."

Elsewhere...

"Where did Master go?" one bodyguard asked anxiously.

"He'll be fine," the other shrugged.

"You're new... you don't know what he's capable of."

"What do you mean?"

"Remember that case? Mafia using kids to sell drugs... later found completely destroyed?"

"Yeah..."

"That was him."

"...What?"

"If he's late... it means someone's about to suffer."

Back to the Alley

Yash sighed.

"You guys won't understand peacefully... will you?"

He cracked his knuckles.

"Fine... let's play."

"Villain vs Villain."

They all charged at once.

Next second-

Silence.

Bodies dropped.

None of them even understood what happened.

Yash hadn't even moved from his spot.

Raj trembled.

"How... what did you do?!"

Yash

"Come closer... and find out."

Raj rushed in anger-

-and fell unconscious before even landing a hit.

Aftermath

"Go home," Yash said calmly to Rahul and Sweta.

"This place isn't safe."

"And next time... listen when someone warns you."

"Th-Thank you..." they stuttered.

Just then-

"Master! Finally found you," the bodyguards arrived.

"Let's go home, sir."

Yash smiled faintly.

"What about them?" one asked.

Yash glanced at the unconscious bodies.

"What do we do with trash?"

"...Understood."

They dragged them away like garbage.

Later...

Yash stretched lazily.

"What a fun day..."

"Thinking of having some chole bhature on the way back."

The bodyguards exchanged glances.

"As you wish, sir."

Yash laughed.

"You guys are boring."

Meanwhile...

Raj slowly regained consciousness.

"...Where am I...?"

He realized he was tied up.

"So you're awake," a voice echoed.

A man stepped forward - Jack.

"Let's play a game," Jack smiled coldly.

"I'll ask questions. Fail to answer... and things get ugly."

"Who are you?! Where are my men?!"

"Right behind you."

They were all tied up.

"What do you want?!"

"Have you met... the Devil?"

"What nonsense-"

One of his men dropped dead instantly.

"Too loud," Jack sighed.

"Now... have you seen him?"

"...I don't know what you're talking about!"

Jack smirked Just a second ( He is checking his pocket, ahh here it is ) and pulled out a photo.

"Here."

Raj's eyes widened.

"...That's him... the one who beat us."

Jack's smile widened.

"Good."

"So... the Devil is in this city."

Raj trembled.

"But I don't know where he lives!"

"That's fine," Jack chuckled. "My hunting dogs will find him."

Raj

"Y-you'll let us go now... right?"

Jack tilted his head.

"When did I say that?"

Raj's face went pale.

"Clean the area," Jack ordered.

"NO-PLEASE-!"

Jack looked up at the sky... smiling.

"How long will you run..."

"...Devil?"

He paused.

"...or should I say..."

"Yash."

Hahahahaha.
