Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 The Boundary of Evolution and Humanity

"Ah, yes, 'blood food' it is."

Deadpool spread his hands, as if displaying merchandise, pointing to the Marine Soldiers frozen into ice sculptures in the distance, and then to the zombies in their grotesque poses even further away.

"Look, what's the difference between them and rats or cockroaches to us?"

Deadpool walked step by step towards Kuzan, the ice surface beneath his feet groaning under the strain.

"Just as fragile, just as foolish, just as... delicious."

"With just a gentle squeeze, they'll burst open with a'splat,' spilling out fresh red pulp."

Deadpool let out a neurotic, strange laugh, the white eye patches on his mask curving into crescent moons.

"You're different, old man."

"I can smell that nauseating aura of a strong individual on you, the scent of being at the top of the food chain."

"Why waste your talent for these inferior beings who are destined to be eliminated?"

Bai Yu's voice was full of temptation, the blacklight virus cells in his body stirring restlessly, eager to devour this powerful Logia-type ability user before him.

"Join us."

Deadpool extended his hand, which had already mutated into a sharp claw, inviting Kuzan.

"Embrace glorious evolution, and see a wider World, how about it?"

The air seemed to freeze.

Smoker in the distance gripped his Jitte tightly, his knuckles white from the excessive force.

He was trembling.

Not from the cold, but from anger.

That bastard, how dare he call the Marines who sacrificed for justice, and those innocent civilians, "blood food"?

"What a joke..."

Smoker bit through the cigar in his mouth, and just as he was about to rush forward, he was forced back by an even more terrifying coldness.

Kuzan moved.

He didn't yell or rage like Akainu.

He merely slowly exhaled a puff of white air, which instantly froze into ice shards three inches from his mouth, falling to the ground.

"Ararara..."

Kuzan raised his hand and scratched the back of his head, his movements appearing somewhat stiff.

"Although I knew you were crazy, I didn't expect you to be this crazy."

He lifted his eyelids, his gaze passing over Deadpool and looking towards the vast ice plain.

"Kindred?"

"Don't get it wrong."

Kuzan's voice suddenly turned cold, and the surrounding temperature instantly dropped by dozens of degrees.

"I'm a human, not a monster!"

Hearing this, Deadpool neither raged nor retorted.

He merely tilted his head, his white eye patches blinking, and then let out a long sigh full of regret.

"Sigh—"

The sigh was extremely long, as if it was squeezing all the air out of his lungs, causing an inexplicable panic in people's hearts.

"Another ridiculous statement, how truly disappointing."

"If you can't break free from the shackles of your species, you can't achieve true growth."

Deadpool lowered his hands, and the two specially made Desert Eagles spun twice on his fingertips before sliding into their holsters.

He raised his head, looking at the Marine Admiral in front of him through his red and black mask with the gaze of someone looking at an idiot.

Deadpool stood beside a Marine ice sculpture that was about to turn into a zombie, reaching out to tap the hard ice shell, producing a crisp sound.

"Listen, what a pleasant sound."

He turned around, his red and black tight suit particularly striking against the vast white ice plain.

"Kuzan, do you think you're the same kind of creature as this thing?"

Deadpool pointed at the young Marine soldier frozen with a look of terror, his tone as exaggerated as if telling a not-so-funny joke.

"Hundreds of millions of years ago, when our ancestors were still furry monkeys throwing feces from trees, some of them chose to walk on the ground, learned to use Fire, and learned to make tools."

As he spoke, he walked towards Kuzan with a comical dancing gait.

"From that moment on, they parted ways with their tree-dwelling relatives."

"Do humans now consider monkeys their kindred? Would they cry tears of sorrow for stepping on a monkey?"

Deadpool spread his hands, tilted his head, his white eye patches on the mask one large and one small, conveying extreme mockery.

"No, old man. Because the level of life is already different."

"Look at you, with just a thought, you can freeze the sea, you can make hundreds of thousands of people lose their lives instantly."

"We are no longer human, Kuzan."

"Are you finished?"

"Then, it's time to send you on your way."

Kuzan slowly raised his right foot.

His voice was calm, as calm as the sea before a storm.

"What a pity!"

Deadpool shrugged, his hands once again transforming into blade form.

"You made the wrong choice."

Boom!

Without any warning.

With Kuzan at the center, the ice layer within a hundred-meter radius instantly collapsed.

Not merely shattered, but pulverized.

Terrifying Armament Haki wrapped around his body, dyeing his originally white suit an inky black.

The next second, Kuzan's figure disappeared.

Fast.

So fast that even the retina couldn't capture an afterimage.

Deadpool only felt a blur before his eyes, and a chill capable of freezing the soul was already pressed against his face.

"Ice Block: Partisan."

Two ice spears radiating extreme cold, empowered by Armament Haki, became indestructible blades.

This time, the Armament Haki was not the probing attack from before, but so dense it was almost substantial.

Pfft!

The ice spears instantly pierced through Deadpool's shoulders, the immense impact sending him flying backward.

But this was just the beginning.

Kuzan's figure followed closely like a persistent parasite.

He didn't use those large-scale area-of-effect techniques, but compressed all his power into a single point.

"The evolution you speak of, I don't understand."

Kuzan appeared in mid-air, looking down at the backward-flying Deadpool.

His right fist was enveloped in dense frost, and black Haki flowed beneath the ice, emitting a suffocating sense of oppression.

"But I know one thing."

"The difference between me and a monster like you is that I have a heart that reveres life."

Boom—!!

This punch landed squarely on Deadpool's face.

The air was instantly compressed, then exploded.

A visible white shockwave spread in all directions, leveling all the icebergs in its path.

Deadpool crashed deep into the ice plain like a meteor.

The earth trembled violently, and shattered ice mixed with frozen soil shot into the sky.

"Ding! Host's words infuriated Admiral Kuzan, gaining astonishment value +800!"

At the bottom of the deep pit.

Bai Yu felt as if his head had been stomped on by a hundred elephants in turns.

All the bones in his face were completely shattered, his eyeballs burst, and even his brain was shaken into a paste.

If it were an ordinary person, they would have long been dead beyond dead.

But the terrifying aspect of the blacklight virus is that as long as one cell survives, it can endlessly reorganize.

"Cough cough... that was quite a punch..."

A muffled complaint came from the bottom of the pit.

Black and red granulation tissue wriggled wildly, shattered bones reconnected in two seconds, and burst eyeballs regrew.

Deadpool staggered to his feet, reached up to straighten his jaw which had been knocked to the back of his head, and it made a crisp'snap' sound.

"Is this the Admiral's serious mode?"

He spat out a mouthful of blood mixed with broken teeth, his tone still flippant, but his eyes had sharpened.

That punch earlier wasn't just a physical attack.

The extreme cold had invaded his body through the wound, frantically destroying his cell activity and attempting to hinder his regeneration speed.

If it weren't for Deadpool's unique 'un-body' characteristic, relying solely on the basic physical qualities of this body, he really couldn't have handled it.
