Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 Ultimate Skill: Sincerity!

Chapter 49 Ultimate Skill: Sincerity!

The voice paused for a moment, then rang out again.

"You knew I'd been here all along?"

It wasn't a question; the tone was very flat, like an elderly person asking a casual question.

Dai Huabin remained silent for a few seconds in his mental sea.

This is a delicate issue.

Of course he knew.

The silvery-white light transferred from the blade and settled in a corner of his mental sea. For three months, he could sense that faint presence every time he circulated his spiritual energy.

But he hadn't touched it yet because the time wasn't right.

Who is Electrolux?

His divine consciousness has continued in fragments for hundreds of years. With such cunning and experience, it would be wishful thinking to try to deceive him by hiding and concealing his true nature.

Sincerity is sometimes more effective than any strategy.

"I know," Dai Huabin said calmly. "You've been living here for three months, and I've been sensing it."

The halo of light rippled slightly.

"They waited for three months without a word." Electrox's voice held a new depth, a genuine interest now.

"What do you want to say when I wake up?"

Dai Huabin did not beat around the bush.

"Senior, I know who you are."

The halo paused for a moment.

He delivered those words slowly and deliberately.

"Sacred Demon Continent. Undead Calamity. Necromancer Saint God - Ilex."

This time, the silence in his mind lasted for a long time.

The silvery-white halo began to vibrate, its frequency increasing as it spread outwards.

Then, Electrolux spoke.

"How do you know all this?" The voice changed, now genuinely shocked. "Based on my perception over this period of time, this place is definitely not the Holy Demon Continent."

"This is Douluo Continent," Dai Huabin replied.

"and you?"

"Senior, please allow me to finish speaking." Dai Huabin interrupted the unfinished question.

The halo subsided.

Dai Huabin organized his thoughts and then slowly spoke those words.

He comes from another world.

That world had no Soul Masters, no Martial Soul Rings, but it had countless records about Douluo Continent, about Holy Demon Continent, and about the final fate of Electrolux. He had read them all and could even recite the details.

It was also due to some kind of destiny that he came here and learned many things he shouldn't have known in advance.

He spoke very restrainedly about Electrolux, without showing off or deliberately touching on sensitive topics.

The Undead Holy God, one of the top beings on the Holy Demon Continent, had a fragment of his divine consciousness travel through time and space after his death, arriving on the Douluo Continent.

That's all.

After Dai Huabin finished speaking, he remained silent for a long time.

Then Electrolux sighed.

That sigh wasn't one of disappointment, but rather the kind of resignation one feels when someone has had their innermost thoughts laid bare and has no choice but to accept it.

"Shocking and unconventional".

Electrolux spoke slowly,

"If anyone else had said these words, I would have thought they were talking nonsense. But..."

He paused for a moment.

"The fact that I, an old man, traversed time and space with fragments of my divine consciousness and landed in another world is itself nonsense to anyone. Since this has already happened, then what you said..."

The meaning was already very clear before the words were even finished.

"Every detail you mentioned is correct," Electrox said in a deep voice. "Especially those old stories of the Holy Demon Continent, the number of people who know them is… very few."

"So I didn't lie."

"Um."

His mind was still for a while.

"What do you hope to gain by telling me all this?"

"I don't want anything," Dai Huabin replied calmly. "There's no point in hiding my senior's experience from you, so let's be open and honest."

Electrolux let out a short, soft laugh, a laugh that carried a hint of genuine amusement.

"You're not very old, but you're quick-witted," he said. "So, what brings you here?"

"To change my destiny," Dai Huabin paused, "to protect the people I love."

When he said those words, he was thinking of Zhu Lu.

Just before he fainted, those hands held a hot towel and wiped the sweat and dust off his forehead, then took care of him.

It's hard to explain this sense of security, but it's very real.

Electrolux did not reply immediately.

There was a moment of silence.

Then there was something different in that voice, not a mockery, nor a sigh, but more like some kind of emotion that was deliberately suppressed after being touched.

"The one I love." Electrolux repeated the three words. "You're still a teenager, and you say it with such certainty."

"Speaking with certainty has nothing to do with age."

A brief silence.

Then Electrolux hummed in agreement, and something softened in his voice.

"In that case," Electrox said, "I will bestow upon you a great fortune."

Dai Huabin's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't urge him; he just waited.

The next moment, Electrolux's consciousness began to operate.

A silvery-white halo slowly spread through the sea of consciousness, covering an area and carrying a kind of ancient and precise power.

Dai Huabin felt his arm move.

It wasn't his own initiative; it was Electrolux who, through his remaining divine consciousness, possessed his body and made him take out the Soul-Devouring Carving Knife from the soul tool.

Dai Huabin was conscious, but his body was not under his control.

But now, Electrox's consciousness flowed out of his palm and embedded itself deep within the blade.

The dark, malevolent energy on the Soul-Devouring Carving Blade began to surge and writhe restlessly, resisting the cleansing power.

That resistance didn't last long.

Electrolux used his divine sense to peel away the surging evil energy strand by strand, completely eliminating it.

After the evil energy dissipated, something that had been suppressed within the blade for a long time began to awaken.

Warm, extremely pure life force seeped out from the blade.

Electrolux spoke in his mind, his voice low and focused.

"The gold of life is the material of creation. I have purified the curse within it with my divine sense, and your spiritual sea will become its best vessel."

As soon as he finished speaking, a warm current flowed from his palm into his body, surged along his arm into his chest, and finally rushed straight to his spiritual sea.

The moment the warm current touched his spiritual sea, Dai Huabin felt a violent tremor in the center of his brow.

Then came the burning sensation.

A seed that had been sealed for a long time expanded, stretched, and adapted from the inside. The whole process was not comfortable; it was a dull pain of being forcibly expanded.

"Don't resist, just go with it," Electrolux said.

Dai Huabin suppressed the instinctive defensiveness within him.

The vibration at the center of the forehead gradually subsided.

A sense of clarity was creeping in.

He could sense the flow of energy in the surrounding air, and that sense was more precise than usual; even the most subtle fluctuations in his spiritual sea were much clearer.

"This is..."

"The Eye of Living Beings".

Electrolux said,

"It was opened by the gold of life in the center of the eyebrows."

From now on, your spiritual sea will be virtually immortal and impervious to external erosion.
