Chapter 19 - Cultivation

The creature after understanding the basics put the book away on a corner of the cave as it began to focus itself, the problem though soon arose as he wasn't a Human the qi was distributed non-uniformly across his body and more qi couldn't enter as he always kept the tunnels sealed which made the creature furious

The creature wanted to unseal the tunnel but stopped as he thought to himself "The man said that qi should be stored in my core but they are in my flesh, i should relocate them first and purify later before i unseal the tunnels" and engrossed in Cultivation once again

The creature tried to grab the qi far away but his weak mentality made it impossible for him to use so he changed the target and targetted the qi near his core first

The mentality expanded and condensed into a jelly like structure as it stretches from the core of the creature, it's large size easily held countless specs at the same time as the creature retracted the mentality while keeping it's condensed state to prevent the qi from leaking away

But as it got close, the creature stopped as it changed the form of mentality into that if a sphere as it covered the qi from all sides, the creature then used it to penetrate from the corners of the sphere to break the qi but the qi were too small for the attacks to do much dmg and instead got pushed away from the corners

"Damn it, even with the guidance of the book it's this difficult Cultivation truly deserves it's fame of being one of the most complicated things in the world" the creature complained inwardly as the specs kept getting shot away from his mental attacks

Furious he turned the page of the book again while maintaining his mentality titled "Control"

[ Title: Control

Introduction: If there is anything that's important then that's control may it be in forming pills, forging artifacts, sensing traps or gathering qi without control no matter how strong one is they cannot do anything properly

Body: Many believe that's speed beats control but that's not true, without control you cannot full use your qi to it's best potential, even if one is born with heavenly bones or have god like meredians they still need to master control otherwise they will find a wall in their path of cultivation

For beginners, one mistake that's extremely common to occur is when they try to use the mentality to penetrate and forcefully break the qi from impurities but even if it looks easy it quite isn't in reality, if you are stuck here then you are lucky

Qi is like snow, it is fragile and tiny even the smallest force can push it away no matter how weak so how do you cultivate? It's simple control

Don't see the snow as snow but as a ore, everything has their own weakness try to find it by its form even the strongest beasts have a fragile spot no matter how strong they are outside their insides are still extremely soft]

The Creature read and understood what the book meant as he went to his consciousness once again and this time instead of using his mentality he focused on a specific of qi

At first the qi felt extremely small and bright but as he focused it slowly began to become much more clear and vivid

The structure of the qi was very familiar to the creature, it's was like cracks that occur when someone stomps on the ground with brute power, the centre was a glowing orb that was extremely small almost unnoticable and it was held up by a long chain of different orbs of other colours

"So these are the impurities, if u break the chains the impurities should collapse" the creature thought as he extended a extremely tiny tube from his mentality, it's worth was smaller than a thin thread as it moved through the gaps of the qi, the tube rolled around the gaps before exiting and the creature pulled it causing the chains to shatter and the qi to float away

The creature used the tube to grab it and guided it to the core as it slowly disappeared inside and the familiar sound rang outside

[Congratulations Master, You have successfully stepped into the path of cultivation but don't be happy just yet this is the very first step please gather more qi, the qi upgrades are now open for purchase in the skill tree]

The creature was baffled as he quickly pressed the skills icon on his profile and got transported to into the familiar space with floating blocks and after looking around he saw a small button at his right written "Strengthen Mentality (0/20)" "Cost: 0.1Qi" and the creature saw he currently has just enough for one as he pressed it causing the button to glow green and the text changed "Strengthen Mentality (1/20) Cost: 1Qi"

"That's a preety huge increase in the cost, u wonder how it affected my mentality" the creature spoke as he exited the world and went back into his consciousness and his curiousity was shattered and he was baffled as he found that his mental power was now far more solid and flexible than before

"That's like night and day difference, this only costs 0.1qi?? How much will the next cost then" the creature thought inwardly as he used the tube once again

He was surprised as not only was his mentality stronger now but even the length was much larger as what felt like dragging a rope across multiple rocks the size of a person before was now like as if he was passing his tentacles for ores through gaps the strain on his mentality had greatly reduced due to the upgrade as he bound a large batch of them and shattered the formations absorbing qi rapidly

As he was engrossed in the process, he felt as if the core's was already full after a few turns of turning and shattering making the creature speak inwardly "Full so fast? Wasn't Cultivation supposed to be a long process and wasn't i supposed to take twice the time needed??" But before he could he knew he had to empty the cores so he picked the book once more and turned to the next chapter "Breakthrough"
