As the sun rose from the horizon, a hand slapped the back of the shadow's head as he woke up yelling, "What the hell?!" and looked at Helix standing beside him dressed up in some clothes he had bought yesterday for the test.
"It's 6 in the morning! Why are you waking me up right now?!" the shadow yelled and Helix spoke, "Time doesn't wait for anyone, the earlier you are the more benefits you can reap, come on, we are getting late," and the shadow held his head as he spoke, "Damnit, I wanted to sleep a bit more," and got up to get dressed.
After a few minutes, the shadow came back in his usual black hood covering his face as he spoke, "Alright let's depart for now, you better not get lost," and Helix spoke, "This place is smaller than the forest and I have already got your heat signature and body radiation locked so you won't have to worry about that," and the shadow got goosebumps as he spoke, "Are you my ally or a killing machine, why the hell do you have those locked?" and Helix spoke, "Simple, because I hunted. It's impossible to see in the dark so these helped me monitor the surroundings at night."
The shadow scoffed and spoke, "Whatever, you better treat me to a meal after this test when you do a mission. You ruined my sleep schedule," and the creature spoke, "Sure, sure just depart now, it's been 20 minutes," and the shadow simply walked out as Helix followed behind.
The two exited the small dormitory and used an elevator to reach the ground floor as they walked to the building and the man stood in front of the counter as he smiled and spoke, "Pretty early huh? You sure did get your schedule broken by the newbie didn't you?" and the shadow scoffed unable to disagree and the man laughed and spoke, "Well anyways, the testing procedures are complete so follow me you two, Helix will do the test, you can watch if you wish," and the shadow nodded and spoke, "Then I will watch..."
The man nodded as he walked through a long corridor full of armed men and the two followed before they arrived in front of a large door. Security cameras were on both sides of the door and there was no way to open it manually.
The man took out a card from his pocket and scanned it as the door let out a hissing sound and smoke released from the inside covering everyone in it but the man spoke, "Don't be afraid, it's not dangerous, it's smoke made by burning various medicines. It kills any and all germs inside your body so you can enter with ease," and the shadow spoke, "Why is there a need for this?"
The man calmly spoke, "Because inside the chamber lie the medical facilities where severely wounded people are treated which includes guards and officials, the smoke is to ensure there is no contamination that can spread to them as they are always full of wounds from battles in the wild," and the two understood as they slowly nodded.
The three moved through the long hallway as the man stopped in front of a door with a label saying "Testing Facility #33" and spoke, "Helix, this is where your testing will take place, there is an assistant inside and you will be monitored the entire time. If you are stronger than the machine then fear not, we have replacements so you won't be held responsible for destroying any equipment," and Helix nodded as he entered the room.
Inside the room, a young man in a white coat greeted Helix as he spoke, "Hello, Helix welcome to the testing site, are you feeling any nervousness or discomfort?" and Helix spoke, "Not really, I am accustomed to fighting so the thought of a test is something out of my expectations."
The man laughed and spoke, "You aren't the only person, countless people of the human race who spent a long time out in the wilds struggle to adapt to human laws after they return as well," and spoke, "Well for the first test, it's strength, your friend should have told you the tests right?"
Helix nodded as he spoke, "Yes, for warriors it's strength, agility, endurance and practical combat examination," and the man nodded and spoke, "Indeed, you are well informed but for now, the practical combat will not be held as due to a recent beast wave many of our experts have left for reinforcements so we will take the other tests in the meantime."
Helix nodded as he walked behind the man as they stepped near a large machine with a large red circle and the man spoke, "Punch this circle as hard as possible, the harder the better," and the creature nodded as he cracked his fingers and prepared in a stance that he had learnt from the shadow when he was with them in the cave.
With a large burst, he attacked and the punch released a shockwave causing the man to step back a little as he looked at the screen on top of the machine, numbers increased at an extreme pace as it moved from 1000 to 10000 and then to 30000 and it finally stopped at 85000 as the man spoke, "85 tons, your power is close to a mid-level B class," and wrote it in the copy in his hand as he spoke, "Now, it's time for your agility."
Helix nodded as he walked behind the man to another corner of the room and stood in front of a large wide room as the man spoke, "This is where we test agility, the walls of this room are made up of countless holes which will shoot small balls from all sides and a system inside will monitor your movements, your test will end when either the system detects you have been hit once or when the balls have been emptied," and Helix nodded.
