On the calm, azure sea, a medium-sized ship slowly docked at the harbor amidst a long blast of its horn.
Although the city on the coast was bustling and the docks were lively, a closer look revealed that the passengers on board had no interest in the scenery; instead, their attention was entirely focused on the deck.
There, a Pokémon battle was drawing to a close!
The two Pokémon battling were Ralts and Rattata, a purple mouse, and their trainers were a handsome man in his early twenties and a middle-aged man in a suit.
In the arena, the intense battle had rapidly depleted Rattata's stamina. Seeing that it was already at a disadvantage and couldn't even touch Ralts, the middle-aged man grew anxious and shouted, "Rattata, quickly approach it and use Tackle!"
Hearing this, Rattata seized the opportunity, its limbs suddenly accelerating, and in a sprint, it reached Ralts and rammed its head into it.
However, just as it was about to collide with Ralts, Ralts suddenly used Shadow Clone, creating several afterimages!
Rattata didn't have time to stop and darted straight through one of the afterimages.
Among the onlookers were many tourists who knew a lot about Pokémon, so most of them recognized that this was a Normal-type move that many Pokémon could use—Shadow Clone!
On the sidelines, seeing Rattata standing there dumbfounded, Xia You realized that after so much entanglement, it was time to end the battle.
"Ralts, use Psychic!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ralts' afterimages simultaneously raised their arms and pointed at Rattata. Then, in the next second, Rattata was suddenly enveloped in a strange light and flew into the air!
Despite its desperate struggles, it was all in vain, unable to break free from the psychic's restraints. With a flick of Ralts' arm, Rattata's body was sent flying backward, crashing into a nearby fence with a loud thud.

"Yes," Xia You nodded slightly, his words carrying a double meaning, "It's truly not easy to come to this land."
Just as the two were talking, a plump Chansey suddenly walked over from the side.
It carried a box with the Indigo League logo and approached Xia You.
Nurse Joy gestured for him to enter and smiled, "For trainers who complete the registration, we give them a badge collection box. This is yours, please accept it."
Xia You glanced down
at it. It looked like just an ordinary box, nothing special, and didn't seem particularly valuable.
He thanked her, took the box, and then asked, "By the way, Miss Nurse Joy, I'd like to ask if it's possible to expand my Pokédex to include the Kalos region?"
