Ivy was leaving to see Vanessa when Kim insisted on following her.
Mavis disagreed thinking it was an escape plan. Kim persuaded her until
she agreed. Kim was all smiles as they left the house. Everyone felt
happy, since it been long since they saw her smile.
"I think you should go alone because she will get angry when she see
me". Kim muttered after parking the car. Ivy gave her the 'Are you
serious look and said "C'mon cous, I didn't bring you here to wait but
to see Nessa. I'm sure she misses you too". She still refused so Ivy went
alone.
"I've missed your mischiefs, we miss everything about you Nessa". Ivy
muttered the minute she got inside. Without giving Vanessa the
opportunity to talk, she began to talk about a guy named Teddy in REG
MODELS, her agency who she had a secret crush on. She went on and
on but Vanessa wouldn't talk. 'Maybe if I tell her about Kim, she will be
happy'. "Do you know I'm here with Kim?". At that very moment,
Vanessa urged her to leave. "I think you should leave. I have a meeting
with my pub managers in an hour time". Ivy realized she was sacking
her due to the fact that she mention Kim's name.
"It good you didn't follow me" Ivy said when she got into the car. "Why,
what happened?" Kim asked. "Can you believe she sacked me when I
mentioned your name". Kim just sighed and started the car. Instead of
a smile, she had tears in her eyes.
When they got home, Kim left to her room without noticing the people
in the hall. Ivy was also going upstairs when Kevin called out to her "Ivy
what's wrong with your sister?". She looked at them with a smile which
vanished the moment she saw Leo. Mavis made matters worse by
telling her to come exchange pleasantries with him. She walked
stealthily to him, kowtowed three times and said "Bad day old
shameless hag" and left before Mavis came out of her shocked state.
After Leo left, Mavis called for her downstairs. "Ivy, what is the
meaning of what you did a while ago?" she asked angrily but Ivy
ignored her. "He is the one to save us from poverty. He is our savior!"
she exclaimed. "Point of correction, he is your savior not ours. I'm so
disappointed in you for giving your granddaughter out for money" she
finally muttered. "Savvy control…" Joshua was interrupted by Savvy
"What should I control? Is it the truth that is bitter or my daughter
needs control?". "Kevin control your wife and child" Joshua warned.
"Savvy, Savvy can you high Ivy's volume please?" said Kevin. They
looked on with shock at how the nuclear family had gang up against
them. The family left to their rooms, leaving the mother and son duo
dumbstruck. "Mom, what do we do now? Everyone is against us"
Joshua lamented out of frustration. "Don't worry they will come to
accept it, forget them". Mavis said as her left for her room.
Due to Kim's constant crying and refusal to eat, she fell sick and Ivy told
Vanessa. She came to the mansion immediately. She hurriedly locked
Kim's door when she entered to avoid any disturbances. Minutes later,
Ivy came knocking at the door. "It me Ivy". "Shut up I know it you"
Vanessa said playfully. The both tried convincing Kim to change her
decision but all in vain. Vanessa then bid them goodbye to see her mom
before she leaves.
She found Adele coiled up in bed, with a dull demeaner. She called out
softly "Mom, Mom" Adele woke up abruptly and took her in an
embrace. "I've missed you so much. How have you been? Are you
eating well?" she bombarded her with questions. "Mom, I'm fine.
Besides, don't you think I should be asking you those questions?" she
chuckled. Adele just smiled bitterly and Vanessa gave a reassuring
smile. She then said "Mom if you are so worried, try to convince Kim so
we can escape". "How I wish it were possible. We can't do that to your
dad, he will be devastated". Vanessa tried persuading her to which she
refused so out of anger, she left the mansion.
