Kim felt so uncomfortable with how Leo looked at her. To make matters
worse, he had with him two security guards. She refused to pick
anything and Leo seemed not to care about it. He went on to select
what he wanted and her own too.
Walking through the boutique, they got to where she was to choose
her gown. Leo chose a black tuxedo and white tie to match. He urged
Kim to select her dress but she refused so he chose a revealing dress for
her. "Go and try this one". Kim made a face and he smirked. "No
please! I can't wear this". She said and he replied with a smirk "Go in
there and change into this" he ordered her angrily. Kim didn't know
how she got the courage, but said "Look here old man, I'm not married
to you so you don't have that right on me. In fact, I call this deal called
marriage a quit. I'm out of it!" she exclaimed and strode off.
The entire family didn't know why Mavis called them and she also
looked so angry. "Mom, what's the problem? You were so happy during
our shopping" Joshua asked. Kim badge into the house fuming with
anger. She didn't notice anyone's presence so was going upstairs when
Mavis exclaimed. "And where are you going from here, because you are
leaving my house this minute. I mean now!" Kim suddenly stopped and
gave them a look. She had tears in her eyes but didn't look remorseful
but angry. The entire family were surprised because they had never
seen her that way before. She walked stealthily to Mavis as they looked
on.
"Mrs. Mavis Martinez, you are a wicked old hag and I wish I never had
your blood or name attached to mine. What a fate you have Kimberly".
she laughed maniacally and it further shocked everyone when she
packed her bags and left the house.
"Ruth, we can't let Leo go free after what he did to you family" Vanessa
who was on her usual visit said, while Ruth prepared them a meal. "He
is more powerful now and besides the case was closed long ago" Ruth
said with threatening tears. After setting the table, a knock came at the
door and Ruth went to open. She was taking long so Nessa followed her
only to find Kim with tears and her bags. She hugged Nessa, Ruth also
took her bag inside.
They all sat patiently waiting for her to stop crying and tell them the
reason for what is happening. Vanessa tried calling Ivy but she didn't
answer. Ruth prepared a hot bath for and afterwards, she went to bed.
The next day, before the break of dawn, Ivy became the headlines. "Ivy
Martinez changes boyfriends like clothes". Ivy woke up as usual, got a
call to come to the agency right away. She prepared cheerfully and left
home.
At the entrance, instead of admiration as she usually got, this time it was strange looks, but she didn't really care so went straight to the
manager's office. The minute she opened the door, her manager threw
the newspaper furiously to her face. She picked it up and tears strickled
down her cheeks. She saw the scandalous and nasty comments the
netizens said about her. She left the office without speaking to anyone,
she seemed to be in her own world now. "Driver, please take me
home" she said in between sobs.
As Ivy was almost home, she had a call from a private number. She
answered and heard Sean's voice. "Hello baby, I know you have seen
the headlines by now. This is just the beginning if Kim continues to be
stubborn" he said and laughing. Without thinking, she told the
chauffeur to take her to Ruth's apartment.
After breakfast, Kim was about to tell them what happened when a
long bang came at the door. Ruth opened it and Ivy entered furiously.
She threw the newspaper to Kim's face and said "Thank you Kim! Your
selfish decision has ruined my years of hard work" she then left. Kim
looked and the news and resumed crying. Nessa tried to consoled her
but she refused to be consoled.
