The first person to notice something strange was an apprentice priest assigned to guide patients to the priests who possessed God’s power.
Since the time it took to treat a patient was similar, the rate at which patients entered and left the treatment room should be about the same. However, one particular treatment room had patients coming and going at a notably faster pace.
“What's going on?”
Driven by curiosity, the apprentice priest timed the interval between patients entering and exiting the treatment room. And indeed, one specific treatment room had a significantly shorter duration for patients compared to the other rooms, taking only half the time.
“Eh? Why?”
As the patients coming out of the treatment room looked healthier, it wasn't that the priest inside had skipped the treatment or done it half-heartedly. Thus, it would mean that the patients were certainly treated properly…
“What on earth is happening?”
“What do you mean?”
