Meng Ziyi ordered for a ride and went down to wait for her cab. Her apartment was well known. Most upcoming celebrities always lodged here till they get famous and mover to a bigger and nicer apartment. It was provided by the company but it didn't come free.
She made 80% of the payment while the company only covered 20. Meaning if it weren't for all those part time jobs she took at the stores and at those clubs,she wouldn't have been able to afford it.
Meng Ziyi went out of the apartment with so many thoughts in her head without noticing all the reporters that were downstairs. She was contemplating on cancelling the ride and getting a taxi since that might be easier and faster when a group of people out of nowhere shoved cameras and microphones in her face.
"Is it true you and Michael were dating for 4 years?"
"Why didn't he announced to the public of your relationship "

"Is a no name trying to ride on the coattails of these big celebrities "

Meng Ziyi was stunned and so disorganised because she had no idea reporters will find out where she lived and interrogate her.Some even went as far as shoving her.
Before the situation got critical, Meng Ziyi voiced out "Everything i said is true. My company just called me so I believe they will in no time help me seek justice. Thank you".
She was so glad the security arrived then and help her escape. She saw her ride a few meters from her and entered while heaving deep breaths.
"Please drive" Meng Ziyi said right after catching her breath and saw those reporters rushing to her cub. The driver obeyed and I no time,they arrived at the company.
She took her phone out and was planning to pay up when she saw a new bunch of reporters at the company gate.
She pleaded with the driver to find a convenience store so that she could get a face mask and sunglasses to avoid all those chaos.
After she put them on,she came back and watzed into the company without the reporters recognising her. She breathed a sigh of relief and headed to her managers office.
As soon as she reached the reception,she could hear the murmurs from all around her about how happy they were Jessica was being called out by the netizens. She smiled to herself and thought "whoa, I'm so relieved. I thought my manager and the company was mad".
She fixed her gait and headed straight to Zi Meng's office. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator ,she took off her mask and sunglasses and knocked on Zi Meng's door.
"Come in" she shouted. Ziyi knew something was off with her tone but went inside as ordered. As soon as she entered, she said "jiejie, you don't know much I've been bullied" and acted cute and pouty .
"You dare act cute infront of me!? Do you know the kind of mess you have put me through?" Ziyi was stunned by the shouts that came right at her. She felt wronged and tried to explain "i know but I needed justice ".
"And you didn't think it wise to tell me? If I lose my job,know that you're coming down with me. It's really crazy how trash are always so delusional and do not know their place.".
Ziyi was stumped. "Jiejie, i was wronged by those two,what are you talking about? They cheated on me and abused me. Can't I tell the whole world what they did?" She cried out.
"I do not care what happened. You should have known your place and stayed mute,maybe the company would have compensated you. I knew you were thrash from the beginning. I just thought you were going to change. So dumb of me to think thrash could ever be made useful ".
Ziyi couldn't take what she was saying anymore and started wailing like a child. She didn't know that was how her manager thought of her. And the fact that she wasn't on her side but on those adulterous couple, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Stop making those noise,you're hurting my ears. Go out and wait for me. The CEO is calling and I need to hear about what he needs to say".
Meng Ziyi wiped her tears and went outside as ordered thinking maybe the higher ups will take her side and bring her justice. She sat down for hours,waiting but then she wasn't called in. She was planning on walking in again when she heard her phone ringing....it was her mom's.
"Mommy" she called out as soon as she picked. "Oh dear, I saw the news my child. I thought you'll be asleep since it's almost morning. How're you feeling? Talk to Mommy." Meng Ziyi cried and encountered what had happened earlier to her mom. Her mom said " I told you this thing won't work for you. These people out there are vicious. They are money hungry beings who only want the best for themselves. But you never listened. But it's alright, Mommy won't judge you. Come home my dear and let's start something of our own".
Meng Ziyi listened to her mother,Meng Zhurou and said " Mommy, the world needs to know the truth".
She was planning on saying more but then Zi Meng called her to her office so she had to hung up.
"Ziyi,sit down and let's talk". She thought her manager had changed her mind and was going to help her but her next words left her stupefied. "Apologise to Jessica and Michael in the press conference tomorrow and the company will compensate you. You know how you always wanted a role. The company just got a role of 5th female lead. As a newbie,it's going to help you so much and put you out there. What do you think?"
