Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Hunt Begins

Ravi Roy didn't stay at the scene any longer than necessary, because he knew one thing clearly—whoever had sent those men was not done yet. Walking away from the unconscious bodies, he moved deeper into the darkness, his pace steady but his mind already analyzing the situation.

This wasn't just an attack.

It was a test.

Someone wanted to confirm something.

And now… they had.

The streets ahead were quieter than before, almost empty, with only a few distant sounds breaking the silence. A stray dog barked somewhere far away, and a bike passed through another road, its engine fading quickly into the distance. Everything seemed normal.

But Ravi knew better Normal was just a mask.

He turned into a narrower lane, where the light barely reached the ground. The buildings here were older, more broken, and the silence felt heavier. This was the kind of place where things happened without witnesses Perfect.

Ravi stopped for a moment and looked around.

Nothing obvious, No movement,No sound But the feeling…

It was still there Someone was watching.

He didn't react immediately. Instead, he walked forward again, slower this time, his senses sharper, his awareness heightened. Every small detail mattered now—the direction of the wind, the reflections in glass, even the faintest echo of footsteps.

And then… He heard it.

A soft movement Behind him Ravi didn't turn Not yet.

He kept walking as if nothing had changed, but his mind was already calculating.

Distance, Speed,Timing. The sound came again.

Closer, Not one More than one.

Ravi stopped Silence returned.

For a second nothing moved.

Then Three shadows stepped out from the darkness ahead.

Not behind In front.

Ravi's eyes narrowed slightly Smart

They had tried to box him in.

Two more figures appeared behind him.

Five This wasn't random This was planned.

One of the men stepped forward slightly, his posture confident, almost relaxed.

"You're harder to kill than expected," he said with a faint smile.

Ravi didn't respond.

"Or maybe," the man continued, "you just got lucky before."

Silence.

The air felt tense Ready to break.

Ravi shifted his weight slightly, preparing without making it obvious.

"Who sent you?" he asked calmly.

The man chuckled.

"Still asking questions?"

No answer.

That was enough.

Ravi didn't need words anymore.

He already knew.

They moved first.

The man in front lunged forward, fast and aggressive, aiming straight for Ravi's chest. At the same time, the two behind him closed in, trying to trap him.

But Ravi had already seen it coming.

He stepped sideways at the last second, letting the first attack miss completely, and used that momentum to strike back instantly. His movement was sharp and controlled, landing a direct hit that dropped the attacker in seconds.

Behind him, one of the men swung a weapon, but Ravi ducked low, avoiding the strike and countering with a quick movement that forced the man off balance.

Everything happened fast.

Too fast for them.

They weren't amateurs.

But they weren't enough.

Ravi moved like he had done this a hundred times before, every step calculated, every strike precise. Within moments, two more men were down, struggling to get up.

The last two hesitated.

That was their mistake.

Ravi didn't give them time.

He closed the distance instantly, forcing them into defense instead of attack. One tried to aim, but Ravi grabbed his arm and twisted it sharply, disarming him before he could react.

The other tried to run.

He didn't get far.

Within second It was over Five men Down.

Ravi stood still in the middle of the alley, his breathing steady, his expression unchanged.

This wasn't a fight.

It was a message.

He looked down at one of them, still conscious but barely able to move.

"Who sent you?" Ravi asked again.

The man laughed weakly.

"You already know… this isn't about us."

Ravi's eyes hardened.

Before he could ask anything else, the man's expression changed suddenly.

Fear. Ravi noticed it instantly.

"What—"

A sharp sound cut through the silence.

A distant shot.

The man's body went still Dead.

Ravi looked up immediately.

Sniper From above The rooftops.

He moved back into the shadows instantly, his eyes scanning the buildings, searching for the source.

But whoever it was…

They were already gone.

Silence returned again.

Ravi stood still for a moment, processing everything.

This wasn't just an attack anymore.

This was control.

Someone was cleaning up.

Someone didn't want loose ends.

And that meant one thing.

This was bigger than he thought.

Far away…

In a dimly lit room, multiple screens flickered, each showing different angles of the same scene.

Ravi

The fight,The aftermath.

A man sat in the darkness, watching everything carefully.

His face hidden, His presence calm.

He leaned back slightly, his fingers tapping slowly on the armrest.

"Interesting…" he murmured.

One of the screens zoomed in on Ravi's face.

Alive, Aware, Dangerous.

The man smiled faintly.

"Let's see how long you survive this time…"

The screens went dark.

Ravi Roy didn't leave immediately after the sniper shot. He stepped back into the shadows, his eyes scanning the rooftops again, but whoever had taken the shot was already gone. The execution had been clean, precise, and perfectly timed. It wasn't just an attack—it was control. Someone was watching the entire situation and making sure no loose ends remained.

He looked down at the body. The man who had spoken seconds ago now lay completely still, his expression frozen in fear. Ravi didn't need more confirmation. This wasn't random violence. This was a system.

Someone was running it.

Ravi walked away from the scene without urgency, blending into the dark streets as if nothing had happened. His movements were calm, but his mind was working faster than ever. Every detail from the last hour replayed itself in perfect sequence.

The alley,The woman,The SUV,The attackers,The sniper.

None of it was separate.

Everything was connected.

He stopped near a closed tea stall, its shutter half broken and rusted. The place was empty, silent, and gave him enough cover to pause. Leaning slightly against the wall, Ravi looked ahead without focusing on anything specific.

This wasn't just a setup.

It was layered.

The first layer had been simple—confirm if Ravi Roy was alive. The second had been pressure—send men, force a reaction, test his speed and control. And the third…

The sniper.

Control.

Ravi exhaled slowly, his expression unchanged but his thoughts sharpening. Whoever was behind this wasn't just powerful. They were organized.

And patient.

At that moment, his phone vibrated.

Ravi didn't move instantly.

He just looked at it.

Unknown number.

For a brief second, the street felt even quieter.

Then he answered.

"Talk."

There was a pause on the other end.

Then a voice spoke.

Calm.

Cold.

Almost amused.

"You're still alive."

Ravi didn't react.

"So are you," he replied evenly.

A faint chuckle came from the other side.

"I was wondering how long it would take."

"Who are you?" Ravi asked.

Another pause.

Longer this time.

"Someone who already knows you," the voice said.

Ravi's grip on the phone tightened slightly.

"That's not an answer."

"No," the voice agreed, "but it's enough for now."

Silence followed.

Heavy.

Uncomfortable.

Then the voice continued.

"You've stepped into something much bigger than you think, Ravi Roy."

Ravi's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Then come out and say it."

A soft laugh echoed.

"No… not yet."

Another pause.

"But I'll give you something."

Ravi didn't interrupt.

He waited.

"Next time…" the voice said slowly,"don't save her."

The line went dead.

Ravi lowered the phone slowly, his mind already moving ahead.

Her.

The woman.

This wasn't just about him anymore.

She was part of it.

Which meant…

She was in danger.

Ravi pushed himself off the wall and started walking again, this time faster, more direct. He didn't need to think about where he was going.

He already knew.

Meanwhile…

The woman had stopped running, but the fear hadn't left her. She sat in a dim corner of a narrow lane, her back against the wall, trying to steady her breathing.

Her hands still trembled.

Her mind refused to slow down.

The man.

The blood.

The stranger.

Ravi Roy.

She closed her eyes for a moment, but the images didn't fade.

They became clearer.

Her phone vibrated again.

She froze instantly.

Slowly…

She picked it up.

Unknown number.

Her throat went dry.

Still, she answered.

"Hello…?"

Silence Then

A voice "You made a mistake."

Her body went cold.

"I didn't mean to—"

"I know."

That same calm interruption.

"But now things have changed."

Her breathing became uneven again.

"What do you want?" she asked.

A pause, "Nothing."

Her confusion turned into fear.

"Then why are you calling me?"

The voice lowered slightly.

Not softer, More dangerous.

"Because you've been seen."

Her heart stopped.

"By who?" she whispered.

A pause, Long, Heavy.

"By him."

The call ended.

Her hands trembled as she lowered the phone.

There was only one person that could be.

Ravi Roy.

Back on the street, Ravi moved faster now, his path clear, his purpose fixed. Whoever had called him knew about her. That meant she wasn't just involved.

She was important. And if she was important…

They wouldn't let her stay alive for long.

Ravi turned into another lane, his eyes scanning everything as he moved. Every shadow, every reflection, every small movement mattered now.

Because the game had changed.

This wasn't survival anymore. This was a hunt.

And Ravi Roy had just stepped into it.
