Zaras

"Your Majesty, the king has summoned you in the throne room." Said the servant nervously as I got off the concubine from the bed.

"Hm, okay. You can leave." I said coldly as I pulled on my clothes, my back to the concubine. "Leaving so soon, Zaras–" the concubine said seductively but I cut her off, "Its your highness. And I decide when to leave and when to not. You are in no position to tell me what to do." I said coldly and left towards the throne. The wooden gates opened as I walked into the throne room, all eyes on me. "Alas, you are finally here, son." my father said with a heavy sigh as my mother simply looked at me.

"I had to, father. Why did you summon me?" I ask as I stood in the middle of the room, facing the throne. "We have a new kingdom to invade. And this time, I want you to take charge." My father said, I raise my eyebrow, father never ordered me to invade a kingdom. His only intension to send me can be to cause destruction and bring him something valuable.

"And which kingdom is it?" I ask, my hands itching behind my back. "Azirid" said my father simply as he sipped his drink. The Azirid Dynasty was the smalled and easiest kingdoms, but one of the top for human maidens.

"Any souveinir?" I ask curiously, to which father laughed while mother kept up with the serious act. "Their precious daughter is whom you need to bring. Safe and sound." father said with a more stern tone now to which I nod and left for preparations.

By the dawn all preparations were done and we had already taken off. The journey was short but definitely not sweet. As we were crossing the forest, a storm started. Tiring the horses so we took off on foot. When we were around 5 kilometres away, a very calming scent hit my nostrils. The calmness, the scent gave me was surprisingly different than any flowers or perfumes. It was definitely near, I can feel–

"Majesty, are you okay?" My right hand and friend, Ethan snapped me out of my trance and all of a sudden I lost the scent. I shake my head to regain my composure but I was clearly distracted. "Yes, I am fine. Let's just keep going." I said as I look around, scanning. "About that, we wont be able to go forward due to the storm." one of the soldiers reported as he bowed. i look at him and nod, "fine, lets build the camp here." I commanded and got off my horse.

While I was in my camp with Ethan, discussing the ways to attack. The others were cooking the meat outside.

"We can take down mile by—" Ethan suggested but stopped abruptly as he heard rustling from the nearby bushes. We looked at each other and gripped on our swords. Carefully and quietly we come out of the tent just to see all the soldiers on alert too. I nod at them, and suddenly the rustling seemed to have stopped. With quick movements a figure jumped out of the bushes. The figure was none other than a… Leopard? complete black and golden spots on its skin. "Magnificent" I mumble as I watch the leopard cautiously walking towards me. Its steps graceful yet gaurded, its eyes violet with twinkles of golden. It was no animal but half human, I insisted on ignoring it for the moment. As the leopard sensed the weapons, it growled lowly and took a step back. His long sharp white teeth glowing under the moonlight.

"Lower your weapons, everyone. Anyone who harms it gets a special place in my very hell." I command harshly, brooking no argument.

Everyone obeyed reluctantly and lowered their hands from their weapons. I knelt before the leopard and extended my hand. Hesitantly, it came closer and sniffed my hand, feeling safer it rubs it's head against my palm. "Such a beautiful little thing." I whisper, pressing my forehead against its head as a sign of respect. The leopard growled softly and pulled back, gesturing its head towards a different direction as if it wanted us to follow. Trusting the animal, I follow as it guides me towards a cave. My eyes widen as I looked down at the leopard, "Is it safe for us to sleep in?" I ask to which the leopard nodded in respond.

"Clever animal." Ethan commented upon seeing the scene unfold and laughed while turning to the soldiers. "Let's shift here." he commanded to them. The rest of the night went by inside that cave with the others. The exact next morning, when we were all ready for the violence, we charged towards the Azirid kingdom.

The soldiers were divided into three categories. Air tamed dagons. Earth tamed dragons. Water tamed dragons. And fire dragon. It was made sure that Azirid had no escape route and had to surrender to us. It was as if every element has gone against the Aziridians. Its a petty how no man could or was brave enough to confront us. It was less effect thani thought I had needed. I walk past a tree, setting it on fire as it got spread from tree to tree and into what looked like a garden. I smirk and move on.

The invasion continued till the evening, every spot that was once full of delicate flowers and greenary are now all burnt into ashes. Deadbody lying on every other step. Some of young women, older men, older women but no animals. Me and Ethan bursted through the main gates of the castle, striding straight towards the throne room, knowing the king will be hiding there. On our way there, several soldiers attacked on us though they were too small and fragile compared to us. Though it was fun chopping off their heads.

"What do you plan to give to your father? As souvenir?" Ethan asked with a mischievous grin. Blood dripping from the corner of his lips, yeah, it wasn't his blood.

"He wants the princess." I answer him as I slice down another head. Ethan laughs and nudges my shoulder, "You are gonna get married soon huh?" he teases as I roll my eyes.

"You really think any woman is capable to handle me?" I taunt.

"I heard the princess is really beautiful." Ethan says suggestively, making me pause. "Oh really? Interesting." I mumble as we burst through the door into the throne room. A cruel smirk forms on my lips, spotting the king trembling in fear on his throne. His crown falls off by itself as he looks at me. Oh, and that fear in his eyes showed my victory.

"Get them!" he orders his men to attack us. They really tried but couldn't make it alive as I slice their heads into half. Some blood splashed onto me while other dripped from my sword, glistening with thick blood. One dragon troop brought in the Queen while the other troop brought the prince. All three of them knelt down infront of me with hands together, begging for mercy.

"What to do with them, Majesty? Ethan whispered to me as I click my tongue in disapproval "Father wouldn't need these brats." I said and growled. The Queen's eyes widened as she looked around.

"Where is she?" I heard her whisper to the king. I lean down to her level.

"Who?" I whisper back menacely as she jumped slightly.

"M-my d-daughter, Majesty" she stammered, joining her palms. Daughter? I look at Ethan and he nodded back, already knowing what I would command.

"What does she look like?" Ethan asked. "She r-reaches a-about majesty's e-elbow, white long hair, a-and very b-beautiful" the king described to which Ethan hummed and transformed into his dragon form and took off.

"Found no one as described… Majesty" Ethan growled angrily as he returned and glared at the Queen and king. Just then the guard dragon flew in holding a human in his tail as he threw the human on the floor, right at my feet.

"An escaper, Sire." the guard dragon reported.
