A boy was being seen flying in the gym with the most picturesque form. The boy was Kirito.
BOOOM!
As he landed all the team members were looking at him with shock, delight and joy.
"Alright, now that we have all become 3rd years, this will be final for all us seniors." Kirito said.
"This will become our final chance to shine before going to our own paths." Kirito continued.
"I know a lot of you won't pursue this path and I won't force either of you but I sincerely hope for once you give your best." Kirito finished.
"Hehe, quite heavy words there, Ace." Sato exclaimed.
Kirito just nodded.
In this volleyball team, there was no coach. There was only supervising teacher but rarely attended. For this matter Kirito took up the role to be mentor and player.
"We will start the Prefectural Middle School Tournament in the next week." Kirito explained.
"We'll try our best to win all the matches." Kirito continued.
Then, Kirito divided all of them on the basis of their playability. Then, they practiced until it was time to return.
During this 5 month gap, Kirito practiced his volleyball skill and built strong foundation for his future growth and skill. He went to a nearby volleyball court in the community and practiced with them and played matches with them.
Only slight changes occurred during this time in his stats.

Not an otherworldly changes but a subtle one. He grew 8 cm. He speculated that if Infinite Physical Body is unlocked within time frame he might grow to 200 cm(2 m) tall player during High school. That will give him the biggest upper hand in volleyball.
But focusing on the current task, he exited his UI and was returning back to home.
Today, as Kirito reached his apartment his parents called him via phone. He picked up talked with them for an hour or so. The talk was mainly about his studies and his future. At that moment, Kirito spoke up that he wants to continue pursuing Volleyball career. He wants to become professional player in this sport.
His Mom while initially skeptical agreed, whereas his Dad was wholeheartedly supportive.
"As long as you put your best effort and don't regret it later, we won't voice any objection, sweetheart." My mom said.
"Don't cry coming to us later." My father added.
"Hehe, I won't regret it." Kirito affirmed them and ended the call.
Next week he has to put best effort to win all the matches.
