"I thought you would not come," Ensley said, a sharp glint in his eyes as he found Gideon standing in the center of his chamber.
"What is it that you want to discuss with me? What did you find out from that hunter?" Gideon questioned, requiring his half-brother to speak without beating around the bush.
"Drystan confessed he was under the control of a witch, and he said she specifically wanted you," Ensley replied, crossing his arms. "What exactly did you do to have a witch hunting for you? Did you kill someone from their coven, just like your mother did?"
Gideon chuckled softly, completely unbothered. "If you thought I would get provoked at the mention of my mother, Ensley, you were mistaken."
