Mara led them north, crossing the edge of the Orc territory by a route only she knew. Two days' journey. On the third day they reached a small village of seventy people built around a natural hot spring in the sector.
Hot springs.
The village had three pools — one public, one for inn residents, and one private one that Mara reserved with a gold coin and a nod from the owner that suggested Mara had been there before.
"You've been here too?" Kai said.
"It's relaxing."
"Alone?"
"Alone."
