Chapter 32: Chivalry Does exist
Shiori's pov
.....
Our lips met passionately , tongue dancing with ease.
"Lady...shiori...." he moaned. The next second I was on trial at the supreme court.
"She pressed herself into him..." Lady ivory sobbed from the stands.
"What happened to girl code! Huh .."jasmine looked away in disgust.
The charges claimed were, I had seduced prince Felix.
"Anything you have to say for yourself?!" The demon king pointed at me.
"This is ridiculous!" I screamed in terror
"Your sentenced to deade by burning publicly!" He announced.

{Mind space}
"So what now?!" Spineless panicked
"Calm down, we had no ill intentions towards the prince so it's fine " interlect nodded
"But the judge wouldn't care when evidence says otherwise " happy panicked with a wary smile.
"I say we ditch em and flee..." Wild suggested
"But we can't abandon jasmine..." Spineless whimpered
"The best thing to do is apologize before it becomes a rumor we can't dissolve " illect said adjusting her glasses.
"Sounds like a plan..." Boss lady nodded in approval.

I jolted out of bed in a panic, breathing heavily.
"I have to clear the air before I'm arrested!" I stumbled out of bed and ran out of my room.
"Hey shiori- what has got you in such a rush?!" Chris yelled as I past him in the corridor.
"No time to explain! Watch mochi for me!" I yelled
"What's up with her?" Oliver stared blankly
"Who knows, but she's going to Miss breakfast..." Chris frowned.

I got to the demon estate shaking with adrenaline as I tried looking for Felix.
"Um excuse me...." I paused turning to face a maid.
"Um are you lady shiori?" She asked
"Yes?" I nodded
"Someone is waiting for you in the garden..."
"Huh? Who?"
"How should I know " she said with a timid voice.
Guess she's scared of me. I'll get this over with and then look for Felix.
We finally reached a seculded place in the garden. The place was surrounded by tall trees that shielded us from the sun.
"So uh, where's this people?" I asked. Just then another maid grabbed me by the hair and held me in a headlock.
"What the hell?! Who the heck you?!" The maid just kept staring at me with distain. That's when I noticed she wore a totally different uniform than the ones here.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" I tilted my Head calmly as I flung her off me, The maid's face crashed onto the cool moist dirt.
Thanks to all my strength training, she wasn't much of a challenge despite her advantage in size.
"What are you waiting for? Or are you so weak that you were defeated by a girl half your size...." A familiar voice spoke.
I looked up to see lady ivory standing not so far away, holding an umbrella to shield her from the sunlight.
What's she doing here?!
"I was hoping we could get this done quickly, but i should have known better than to choose someone so incompetent for the job..." She frowned.
"Forgive me your grace..." The maid begged
"What did I ever do to you?..." I asked facing Lady ivory
"You really have the nerve to ask me that?! You insulted me in front of prince Felix. I am a potential bride for him and you ruin our first meeting!" She yelled, her tone filled with spite.
How do I explained the situation without exposing Felix's family curse.
"Jain..." Lady ivory said, signalling the maid. The next second I was pushed face first into the ground.
"Now how shall I get back at you..." She grinned
"Let me go..." I said calmly.
"Who gave you permission to speak!" She walked up to me and slapped me across the cheek, hard. Her nails scratched my lower lips as blood appeared
Now you're just asking for it.
Unfortunately I can't break my own principals and hit her because of something so childish.
She isn't interested in hearing my explanation. In her mind, I've upset her and now she wants revenge....
I should just apologize to keep the peace
The maid rose her hand to hit me to please her Master. I waited for the pain but it never came.
"Huh?" I looked up to see Felix holding the maids arm, jasmine standing behind him.
"What in the world is going on here?!" Felix demanded.
"Pr-prince Felix!?" Lady ivory panicked
Felix lifted me onto my feet, taking a look at my bruised cheek a bloody lips, his eyes darkened into something I couldn't quite name.
"Explain yourself this instant!" He demanded
"It isn't what it looks like, I was just disciplining her for her unrefined actions the other day... " lady ivory quickly explained
"By isolating her, and hitting her?" He asked coldly.
"I was simply addressing our social standing, she isn't even a noble whereas I am one of your bridal candidates..." She whined.
"How there you! Do you even know who she is?!" Jasmine yelled, ready to scream at her but Felix held her back.
"Calm down jasmine. As for you lady ivory I'll speak with you later. I have much to think about your actions as well as your opening spot as a potential bride..." Felix said coldly.
Lady ivory flinched at that, nodding sheepishly as she walked away with her maid.
"Are you alright?" Jasmine asked fussing over me
"I'm fine, the slap didn't hurt...." I said trying to calm her down.
"We should get your wounds treated immediately..." Felix said grabbing my arm without question, dragging me back to the palace not waiting for me to object.
What?! What is happening?!

We sat in a room as Felix gently applied ointment on my mouth.
"Ouch" I flinched
"I'll be more gently. Now please explained what happened..."
"Lady ivory said she was disciplining me for my actions or something. I didn't want to start a fire over something so petty so I endured her bullshit..." I said simply once my face was released.
"You don't have to take such from others out of consideration...." He said closing the first aid box.
"By the way I came here to apologize!" I said, looking down embarrassed.
"Apologize?" He asked
"You know about the other day..." I flushed remembering the meeting disaster.
"Oh! No need to apologize. It's not like you had I'll intentions." He assured as he blushed intensely.
"Really, that's a relief.." I sighed.
Lady shiori, you have visitors" Elliot announced
I walked downstairs only to see a couple. The man had raven black hair and blue eyes while the woman had indigo hair and golden eyes. Both dressed formally.
"Greetings queen of the ethereal city embassy, I'm king Malcom, king of the draco nation and this is my wife milia. We're jasmine and Felix's parents" the man introduced himself
Of course their parents would be gorgeous too
"I'm Shiori komori, and what brings you here to the Ethereal city embassy?" I curtsied as mochi did a little bow.
"We're here to thank you..." The man smiled
"Thank me? "
"Yes, our daughter seems more happier ever since meeting you and were greaful" they bowed
"Please rise your heads, I'm more than happy to be her friend!" I said all flustered.
"Jasmine wanted to see you, she has a present for you as a symbol of her gratitude..." The woman smiled
"Wait their here!?" I smiled, bowing respectfully before running to the guest greeting room.
"Jasmine!" I smiled
"Shiori!" She beamed running over to me, the two of us held hands and bounced little little kids
"I got some more romance novels as a gift" she smiled
"Thankyou my angel!" I squealed with delight
"Let me go grab them" she ran off leaving just me, Chris and Felix in the room
"Allow me to thank you again for everything" Felix said with his usual stoic expression
"My pleasure and thanks for the books and for your warm gestures, your parents have also been very kind and gracious" I smiled
"Our parents?" He tilted his head
"Yeah, we met just a while ago"
"Ok thanks, I appreciate You for saying so..." He said

What's with the awkward silence?... Let's see, how to make this conversation longer?
"Oh! With such lovely parents of your's and such a sweet little sister, I consider you truly blessed master Felix ..." I smiled
"You really think so?" He said with a flat stare
"Huh?"
"Do you really consider me blessed?" He asked
"Um of course, you have such a wonderful family after all. Despite your situation, if say you're doing pretty well for yourself. ..Do you think I'm wrong or....." I got nervous. Had my statement somehow offended him...
He smiled
"No, you not wrong at all, I have such wonderful parents I respect as well as a sweet and adorable little sister, what more could I want?" He said with a soft expression
Wha-?! his even more gorgeous when he smiles, it's almost not fair 🥹..
Oh my eyes!
"I'm back!" Jasmine came back with a trolley of books
Damn!, rich kids...
"Thanks so much" I turned to Chris who was to busy staring at Felix with an unreadable expression
Don't tell me, has this devil seduced the Beast boy as well?!
"We better get going now, brother" jasmine said as Felix nodded in agreement.
The two left with their parents in their carriage as I, Oliver and Chris watch from the window.
Felix devilish appeal is way too strong, how am I going to protect the twins now?.
I can't believe i have yet another rival, just how many people those she need to win over? Chris thought
We both sighed
"What's with you two?" Oliver deadpanned
