Chapter 14 - Chapter 13- King's Have Multiple Queen's Part-1

Morning sunlight filtered weakly through the curtains of Park Jison's room.

But despite the bright morning outside—

The atmosphere inside looked utterly miserable.

Today was July 10, 2026.

And Jison had awakened early.

Or more accurately—

He had never slept at all.

Dark circles hung heavily beneath his eyes, his hair was a complete mess, and his expression resembled that of a man whose soul had been psychologically tortured for an entire night.

Surprisingly—

The reason wasn't the late-night call with Lee Seo-yeon.

Although the two of them had continued talking until around 12:11 AM, that alone wasn't enough to destroy his sanity.

No.

The true culprit floated directly before his eyes.

A crimson-black holographic screen.

Jison lay flat on his bed staring blankly upward at the system window as if witnessing humanity's extinction in real time.

Even now—

At exactly 6:30 AM—

He still hadn't fully processed what he was seeing.

His pupils trembled slightly.

His lips twitched occasionally.

And every few minutes—

He reread the same cursed quest again hoping the words would magically rearrange themselves.

Unfortunately—

Reality remained cruel.

[Objective: Kiss Choi Soo-bin Within 24 Hour's]

[Reward: Random Stat Reaches A-Rank]

---

Silence filled the room.

Jison continued staring upward without blinking.

Expressionless.

Completely stunned.

His brain had already died somewhere around midnight.

"…Fuck."

That single word escaped his mouth weakly.

Then he covered his face slowly with both hands.

The problem wasn't merely the quest itself.

No—

The real problem was who the target was.

Choi Soo-bin.

And unfortunately—

The moment her name appeared on the screen, another horrifying memory resurfaced inside his mind.

A conversation.

A cursed conversation.

One that Woo-jin had once casually mentioned.

And because of that—

Jison had spent the entire night mentally spiraling into despair.

---

Several days earlier.

Inside the classroom.

Jison and Woo-jin sat lazily at their desks while afternoon sunlight drifted through the windows.

Jison stared outside absentmindedly before suddenly asking,

"Who's the most popular girl on campus?"

The moment he asked—

Woo-jin's expression transformed into something deeply suspicious.

A creepy grin spread across his face while he scratched his stomach dramatically.

"The most popular?" he repeated. "Hehehe… you mean that level?"

Jison slowly nodded.

Woo-jin leaned closer conspiratorially.

"Choi Soo-bin."

He lowered his voice mysteriously.

"She's a third-year senior."

Jison listened quietly.

Woo-jin continued.

"She's super gentle, nice to everyone, beautiful, and somehow still doesn't have a boyfriend."

"Every guy who confesses to her gets rejected instantly."

At first, Jison saw no issue.

But then—

Woo-jin paused.

A very ominous pause.

"…But."

The moment Jison heard that word—

An indescribable sense of danger crawled up his spine.

His throat tightened instinctively.

"What but?"

Woo-jin's grin widened.

"The people who confess to her…"

He leaned even closer.

"…usually get beaten the shit out of."

Silence.

Jison blinked slowly.

"…What?"

Woo-jin nodded dramatically.

"And the next day, those same guys come back apologizing to her like their lives depend on it."

Jison immediately looked horrified.

"So she orders people to beat them?"

Woo-jin quickly shook his head.

"Nah. She's genuinely nice."

Then his expression darkened slightly.

"But there's a rumor…"

"…that a senior has been in love with her since first year."

"And whenever someone tries getting close to her…"

Woo-jin made a cracking motion with his hands.

"…they get destroyed."

Cold chills instantly covered Jison's body.

Even back then, he had reacted with complete terror.

"Fuck that," he muttered immediately. "I hope I never meet her."

---

Back to the present.

Inside his room.

Still lying on the bed.

Still staring blankly at the quest screen.

Jison looked like someone contemplating his funeral arrangements.

"…And now the system wants me to kiss her."

His voice sounded hollow.

Dead inside.

He slowly sat up while clutching his hair violently.

"This fucking system is trying to murder me."

His breathing became heavier the more he thought about it.

One side of his brain screamed about the reward.

A random stat reaching A-rank…

That reward was absurdly valuable.

Terrifyingly valuable.

Potentially life-changing.

But the other side of his brain screamed even louder.

You'll fucking die before getting it.

Jison imagined some unknown senior breaking his legs behind the school building.

Then imagined Han Ji-sung joining midway just for entertainment.

Then imagined Min-ji laughing at his funeral.

"…No."

He shook his head aggressively.

"I need a plan."

But after several seconds—

His expression turned blank again.

"…What fucking plan even exists for this?"

While Park Jison remained trapped inside the catastrophic labyrinth of his own thoughts, another sound suddenly interrupted him.

Knock. Knock.

A familiar voice echoed from outside the room.

"…Bro, what are you doing locking the door from inside?"

Jison's entire body stiffened instantly.

His thoughts about mission vanished violently.

Even the crimson system screen hovering faintly near his vision disappeared as his survival instincts activated.

"Shit."

Without wasting another second, he hurriedly stood up from the bed and rushed toward the door.

Click.

The door opened.

Standing outside was Min-ji.

Her hands rested against her waist while her narrowed eyes stared at him suspiciously.

Like an angry cat preparing to interrogate a criminal.

She leaned forward slightly.

"What were you doing inside?"

Jison stared at her silently for a brief second.

Then suddenly—

A brilliant idea surfaced inside his mind.

Wait.

Min-ji plays tons of games…

She might actually know how to deal with this kind of bullshit mission.

His expression immediately turned serious.

"Min-ji," he said solemnly. "I need your help."

Min-ji blinked once.

Clearly surprised by the sudden seriousness in his voice.

"What kind of help?"

---

Several minutes later—

Both siblings sat cross-legged on Jison's bed facing each other like participants in a secret strategy meeting.

The atmosphere had become unexpectedly serious.

At least for Jison.

Min-ji, meanwhile, still looked suspicious.

Jison coughed lightly before beginning his fabricated explanation.

"I recently started playing a game called Capture the Heroine."

The moment those words entered her ears—

Min-ji's expression visibly deteriorated.

"A strange mission appeared," Jison continued carefully, "telling me to kiss the most popular girl in school. When I kissed her, a strange killer guy killed me."

Min-ji slowly leaned backward with a disgusted expression.

"…What the fuck kind of game is that?"

Then she narrowed her eyes judgmentally.

"Wait."

Her expression became even worse.

"Is this some adult game?"

Jison nearly exploded from embarrassment.

"N-no!"

His face turned bright red instantly.

"And why the hell are you even playing something like that?!" Min-ji demanded.

Jison immediately panicked and waved both hands defensively.

"Hey! Just answer the question! I only asked because you play so many games!"

"Hmph."

Min-ji crossed her arms before reluctantly deciding to help.

Then unexpectedly—

Her expression became serious.

Very serious.

She lowered her head slightly and grabbed her chin thoughtfully like a professional strategist analyzing an impossible boss battle.

"Hmmm…"

Several seconds passed.

Then finally—

She spoke.

"It could be related to the location where you kiss her."

Jison blinked.

"…Location?"

"Yes."

She nodded confidently.

"Where exactly did you kiss her in the game?"

"At school, I think."

The moment those words left his mouth—

SMACK.

Min-ji instantly punched the top of his head.

A visible bump formed almost immediately.

"You fucking noob!"

Jison grabbed his head in pain.

"Ow! What was that for?!"

Min-ji stared at him with complete disbelief.

"If you do that in a public place," she explained dramatically, "people will obviously notice."

Then she pointed accusingly at him.

"And eventually that strange killer guy will find out too."

Her tone became grave.

"And then you'll be fucking doomed."

Jison froze.

Then slowly—

His eyes widened with realization.

"You mean…"

A dangerous smile spread across his face.

"If I kiss her somewhere nobody notices…"

He leaned closer dramatically.

"…then I can complete the mission without dying?"

Min-ji smiled proudly and nodded.

"Exactly."

At that moment—

Jison genuinely looked at her like she was a genius strategist descended from heaven itself.

"Min-ji…"

His voice carried admiration.

"You're amazing."

Min-ji immediately lifted her chin proudly.

"Of course I am."

---

Not long afterward—

Jison headed toward the bathroom to take a shower while Min-ji walked toward the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Inside the kitchen, the soft sound of utensils echoed quietly while she hummed to herself in amusement.

A smile lingered across her lips.

Brother is seriously too innocent…

She quietly giggled.

He can't even lie properly.

The story about the "game" had been so suspiciously specific that even an idiot would realize he was talking about real life.

Then suddenly—

Another thought surfaced inside her mind.

Her movements paused.

"…Wait."

Her eyes widened slightly.

Then why does he want to kiss the popular girl?

Several horrifying conclusions instantly formed inside her imagination.

Her face slowly turned red from secondhand embarrassment.

"Oh god…"

She covered her mouth while trying not to laugh.

So my brother secretly dreams about kissing beautiful girls…

A dangerous grin appeared on her face.

"How cute…"

Then quietly—

Very quietly—

She started laughing to herself inside the kitchen like a mischievous little devil discovering forbidden information.

"Hehehe…"
