Before l begin to share the tales of the people of this land we have to set a few things in stone to make it easier for you guests from beyond to understand.
[The continents]
This world is home to six continents with Leoria being the largest. It is located west and is isolated from the rest of the world due to the gray sea in the east being a place no ship can cross and the azure sea in the west being infested by monsters.
[Nations of Leoria]
The continent of Leoria is home to many kingdoms and empires. In the north of the continent where the mountains rise lies the great Shang dynasty. In the center of the continent lies the Imperial province of Aldur, to the south lies the incanian empire and the kingdom of Esperanza. To the west lies the nine tribe alliance and the great kingdom of Yao. On the opposite side to the east lies the great Chrarakian desert and the desert nation of Aurabia and south of the Desert lies the jungle kingdom of Par lumpur. A bit off the coast lies the island nation of Inazuma.
[Overall situation]
85 years ago the necromancer wars ended and the necromancer race was erased from the continent. The aftermath was that most farmable land was left devastated and unusable due to mana rot. Thus the second continental war began over the farmable lands, the war lasted 50 years and only ended five years ago on 1066 of the imperial calendar. A year after the war bandits became commonplace and countless people lost their lives to demon beast attacks and the plague broke out claiming more, and the threat of war now looms over the horizon once again.
[The plague]
The plague or the five colour skin disease appeared out of nowhere claiming countless lives. It has no cure and is extremely painful, the victim's skin begins to blister in a colourful bruises of red, yellow, pink, green and orange. The bruises spread throughout the entire body before leaking a black pus that is corrosive and foul smelling after that the victims skin becomes as hard as rock and he victim dies shortly after.
[Creature classification]
Beasts- these are the common creatures of the land the wild animals you people from beyond refer to.
Monsters- these are creatures that naturally create mana and use it strengthen themselves.
Demon beasts- these are man made beasts that were created by breeding beasts and monsters, mostly used for war.
Hommonculi- human corpses that house a living monster corpse creating human looking creatures with monster abilities.
Beastmen- the children of humans that slept with monsters or demon beasts they posses the intelligence of man and the abilities of monsters.
[Mana]
Mana is a black sludge like substance that is found in the body of monsters, demon beasts and beastmen. It allows them to create phenomena by altering themselves or their surroundings. When mana is released externally it takes the form of a black bacteria like dust.
[Mages and spiritual plants]
Humans do not posses mana naturally and all mages are created. Mages are born when a knight is operated on and a monster's mana organ is implanted into their chest, often proving fatal.
Spiritual plants are rare plants that circulate mana having boosted properties and effects.
[Mana poisoning]
Mana is toxic to regular humans in large amounts which causes mana poisoning. Mana poisoning weakens the body and makes it throw up a black sludge till the poisoning is cured or the victim dies.
Mana poisoning can also affect the earth causing regular crops not to grow and water to become harmful.
[Spells]
Human spells are split into types external and internal.
External spells are created by changing the nature of external mana and adding principles to it to form a spell. To fire the spell a line of mana to where the spell is headed is formed forming a spell path. The spell path of rookie mages is a thick line of mana the size of a rope while the spell path of arch mages is invisible to the naked eye.
Internal spells are created by changing the properties of mana inside your body to boost yourself.
