Chapter 37 - Chapter 36 She slammed the Force into a group of robots that rolled into view

She slammed the Force into a group of robots that rolled into view. Force Push. It was a basic technique of the Jedi—and by extension, the Sith—that generated a repulsive wave of energy to blow targets away.

The violent, emotion-driven pressure allowed the robots no resistance. They were blasted back spectacularly, reduced to mere scrap metal, and left to rot by the roadside without a second glance.

Seeing the result she desired, Toga's grin deepened.

The same power as that girl. A power that matched her beloved's. Apparently, it wasn't actually a "Quirk," but for now, this was enough.

Despite her manic smile and soaring spirits, she remained cold and calculating. She moved toward the most populated areas and unleashed flashy Force Pushes, intentionally drawing the robots toward her so she could intercept them and rack up points.

Force Push, Force Pull, and Telekinesis. These were the only basics she had been taught.

For this exam, however, they were more than enough.

Toga went on a total rampage, finishing the exam with 75 Villain Points and 0 Rescue Points. Ranking third overall, she successfully passed the entrance exam for the U.A. High School Hero Course.

"Good grief. She's doing whatever she wants. This is a far cry from being a Jedi—or a Sith, for that matter. I fear for what's to come… Well, I suppose…"

Watching from above the venue, the former hero who had mastered the teachings of both Jedi and Sith let out a heavy sigh.

Himiko Toga did not want harmony, nor did she seek it. She sought only one thing: the existence known as Riha Mashiro.

"She is still young. It is too early to give up on her… don't you agree?"

Anakin Skywalker whispered the words, turned his gaze toward the reader with a faint smile, and then vanished, dissolving into the scenery.

"By the way, isn't this girl listener kinda crazy?"

Inside U.A. High School, during the faculty review of the entrance exams, Present Mic spoke up.

The student he was pointing at was Toga. On the screen, she was shown unleashing an all-directional Force Push with a smile as terrifying as a vampire's. Look, the robots are like trash!

"Her strategy is the same as that Bakugo kid—using a flashy Quirk to draw them in and counter-attacking—but… how do I put it?"

"You're right… Honestly, she looks more like a villain than a hero," Midnight, the R-Rated Hero, agreed. Thirteen, the Space Hero, nodded along, as did Cementoss and Hound Dog.

However, Mic shook his head at them. "You see it too, don't you, Eraser?"

He turned the conversation to the Erasure Hero, Eraser Head, who nodded in grim agreement.

"WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"

Ectoplasm asked the question. It was one thing for Eraser Head to look grumpy—that was his default state. But the high-strung Present Mic's reaction was clearly out of the ordinary.

However, the one who answered was neither Mic nor Aizawa, but a well-groomed mouse.

"Everyone, look at her file! The answer is right there!"

"Hmm…? I don't see anything particularly strange…" Vlad King muttered, before Power Loader, sitting next to him, burst out laughing.

"Look at her Quirk! It says 'Transform'!"

"Transform…?"

"Wait a moment. During the exam, she didn't do anything like that…"

"Exactly!" the Principal chirped. "She spent the whole time doing something that looks like telekinesis! How mysterious!"

"Could it be… a fraudulent Quirk registration?"

In this era, Quirks are managed and registered by the government to maintain order. However, there are always those who slip through the cracks of the law. Fraudulent registration is a common tactic among the criminal element.

Then again, in this era of poor public safety, there are orphans or victims of crime whose records are a mess. Sometimes, parents misreport Quirks out of a misguided sense of protection. It isn't always black and white.

"That's an issue, but… right, Eraser?"

"Yeah," Aizawa said, his voice low. "Actually… I've seen a power very similar to this before during an investigation."

"An investigation?"

"Yes. About six years ago… when we raided a villain laboratory where they were performing illegal experiments on kidnapped children. I remember it well because I couldn't erase the power with my Quirk. I struggled."

The surrounding heroes sharpened their gaze as Eraser Head spoke. His tone was flat, yet there was an undeniable heat behind it. And perhaps, a deep bitterness.

"...Is she a survivor of that organization?"

"Or perhaps one of the captured children? Six years ago, the age would match up."

"We can't tell from this footage alone. Both are possibilities."

"Man, I'd almost prefer it if she were just lying about her Quirk!" Present Mic added, trying to lighten the mood. "Back then, I just blew 'em all away with my beautiful voice, YEAH!"

Midnight steered the conversation back. "Principal, are we putting her on hold for now?"

"Yes, that would be best. An investigation is required. I feel bad for the other students, but it looks like the acceptance letters will be a bit late this year."

However, no matter how much they dug, they could find nothing suspicious about Toga. Ultimately, her admission was granted. But the suspicion never fully vanished; she was marked for close supervision.

And so, she was assigned to the class of the man who held the authority to expel students at will—Eraser Head's Class 1-A.
