The verdict of the Fordrings' trial spread across the Eastern Kingdoms and reached Orgrimmar across the sea. For the Horde, Tirion Fordring's return was both a positive development and a challenge.
However, a more urgent task lay before them: the shamans, led by Thrall, clearly sensed the riot of the elements. A power was surging from the base of Blackrock Mountain, and fire elements were rushing violently.
Compared to the conflict with the Alliance, the elemental threat was far greater. Consequently, Thrall advocated for another round of negotiations with the Alliance to cooperate in facing this global crisis.
Inside the net cafe, after celebrating the Fordrings' "return to freedom," everyone became immersed in another tense matter. It wasn't the reconstruction of the Silver Hand or the fight against fire elements, but the eradication of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
In the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the confrontation between Harry and Voldemort reached its peak. While the previous film, The Order of the Phoenix, marked a shift in style from youth to young adult with the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort, this film introduced a vast array of combat magic, bringing the series closer to an adult's understanding of a magical world.
To destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes, Dumbledore began private lessons for Harry, while Harry obtained a Potions book belonging to the "Half-Blood Prince." It contained the lethal spell Sectumsempra and numerous potion recipes. Little did they know, the book belonged to Professor Snape.
Additionally, this installment featured healing spells like Episkey and the more powerful Vulnera Sanentur, the illusion-generating Legilimens, the defensive Protego, and what many net cafe members called the coolest spell in the series—Partis Temporus.
This was the final spell cast by Dumbledore, the greatest wizard, before the end of his life. To destroy a Horcrux, he drank the hidden poison and grew extremely weak. Yet, to protect Harry, he unleashed this massive wall of fire to repel the Inferi swarming from the lake.
Upon returning to Hogwarts, Dumbledore, knowing his days were numbered, instructed Snape—who was undercover among the Death Eaters—to kill him, setting the stage for the finale.
Accompanying this stylistic shift, the viewing experience changed as well. A large number of combat segments were added. For instance, in the fight between Harry and Malfoy, the audience could play as Harry and attempt to defeat Malfoy using Sectumsempra.
This delighted the spellcasters in the net cafe, especially the mages. Andromath and Sandar, who hadn't visited for a long time due to the expedition to Theramore and other duties, spent entire days soaked in Harry Potter.
They studied and experienced it repeatedly, even sitting in Hogwarts classrooms with Marlin and others to research the incantations. They tried to integrate these with Azeroth's existing magic systems to invent new, more powerful spells, much like Amy's invention of "Arcane Blast."
However, true innovation is never easy. While the mages were at a loss, Sandar and his warlock colleagues drew inspiration from the Unforgivable Curse, Avada Kedavra, and developed a terrifying dark spell that even Andromath found impressive—Chaos Bolt.
While this spell lacked the instant-kill effect of Avada Kedavra, it shared the trait of being unstoppable by defensive magic like Protego. It could penetrate every known protective spell, such as a Priest's Power Word: Shield or a Mage's Ice Barrier. During a test with Arator, Sandar even managed to penetrate a Paladin's Divine Shield with it!
This shocked not only the mages but also Tirion Fordring and Shadowbreaker. However, when facing a Divine Shield cast by a Paladin of Taelan Fordring's caliber, the warlock leaders were unable to replicate the feat regardless of their efforts.
Nevertheless, this result further boosted the reputation of the net cafe and Wayne. Several major spellcaster guilds held symposiums to study how to emulate the Warlocks' success, organizing core members to visit the cafe and study the Harry Potter series to develop more effective modern spells.
While external spellcasters flocked to the cafe, the members who already held seats finally reached the ultimate showdown with Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. With Dumbledore dead, the only wizard Voldemort feared was gone.
With Hogwarts controlled by his minions, he led a massive army in an all-out assault on the castle. If he captured this sanctuary and killed Harry Potter, no one could stop him, and the entire wizarding world would bow.
Inside the school, Professor McGonagall used Piertotum Locomotor to activate the stone statues' defenses. Flitwick, Molly, Horace, and others cast Protego Maxima, Fianto Duri, and Repello Inimicum to erect a massive barrier.
To the spellcasters in the net cafe, this wasn't particularly fresh. Specifically, the protective barrier currently covering Dalaran seemed much stronger than the one at Hogwarts. Sure enough, under the collective attack of the Death Eaters, cracks appeared in the barrier until Voldemort shattered it with a final, full-power strike. No one noticed that the Elder Wand—the most powerful wand stolen from Dumbledore—developed a tiny crack.
The Death Eaters stormed the school, and the final melee began. The audience entered a series of combat experiences: replacing Neville to slay Nagini with Gryffindor's sword, or playing as Molly to petrify Bellatrix with Petrificus Totalus before finishing her with a shattering curse.
Of course, the main event was the duel between Harry and Voldemort. In the movie, because wands change ownership when a master is killed or disarmed, Voldemort's Elder Wand actually belonged to Harry. Thus, Voldemort could not exert his true power. Finally, after all Horcruxes were destroyed, Harry disarmed Voldemort with Expelliarmus and killed the Dark Lord, ending the threat.
But it was different when the audience took the stage.
The Elder Wand had no connection to the audience. Without the debuff limiting him, Voldemort sent the players running for their lives. In this duel experience, players could use any spell from the entire series—including the Unforgivable Curses—to fight him. The goal was simple: defeat the Dark Lord.
However, whether it was Andromath, Sandar, Amy, or even Shadowbreaker picking up Gryffindor's sword to try and solve the problem in melee, they all failed. The movie had long been finished, but for the past few days, the question of who would be the first to defeat Voldemort became the number one competition in the net cafe.
