Chapter 50 - Chapter Fifty: Empowering Allies and Consolidating Power

After completing my own bloodline fusion, I realized that to truly dominate the magical world, my closest allies needed similar power. One by one, I visited them, carefully administering the bloodline fusion potion I had perfected. Abraxas, my unwavering bodyguard and confidant, received it first. His strength surged, his senses sharpening, and a faint golden aura now surrounded him—a mark of his newfound bond with the mystical essences.

Next was Alistair, another of my personal guards and one of the most cunning of my recruits. I watched with satisfaction as the potion coursed through him, enhancing his already formidable magical reserves. His lifespan extended, his reflexes heightened, and his magical talents expanded dramatically.

I continued this process with members of the Black family I had recruited, each drinking from a slightly modified version of the potion to suit their individual magical potential. Their powers and lifespans extended considerably, though they were still slightly weaker than Abraxas and Alistair—a deliberate choice. I wanted my inner circle to remain unrivaled.

Over the years, I had meticulously built up bases and resources. Thanks to the goblins' wealth and craftsmanship, I had secured territories, fortified strongholds, and amassed an arsenal both magical and mundane. My influence over the Ministry was now near-total; the current minister, a puppet under my control, served my interests, though I suspected Dumbledore was aware of my manipulations. The old fox always seemed one step ahead—but he hadn't yet understood the full extent of my preparations.

My recruitment of families had been just as strategic as my magical enhancements. Neutral families were swayed through promises, favors, and, in some cases, miraculous interventions. The Greengrass family had been recently persuaded, not through bribery or intimidation, but thanks to Salazar's research notes—I had cured the hereditary bloodline disease that plagued them. With their gratitude, loyalty, and magical resources now firmly in my hands, their allegiance added another layer to my growing network.

I had also begun subtly influencing some of the light families, nudging them away from Dumbledore's shadow. Many were hesitant, but when shown the stability and opportunity my rising empire offered, curiosity—and ambition—softened their resistance.

For the heads of the pureblood families I had recruited—Black, Abbott, Avery, Bulstrode, Burke, Carrow, Fawley, Flint, Greengrass, Lestrange, Malfoy, Nott, Parkinson, Prewett, Rosier—I provided a weaker version of the bloodline fusion potion. It was enough to extend their lifespans and increase their magical prowess dramatically, but still far below the potency of what I had given my closest allies. I had to ensure hierarchy, after all.

Each head of a family consumed their potion willingly, understanding the subtle advantages it brought. I watched as golden, silver, or storm-tinged auras briefly shimmered around them, a sign of the bloodline fusion integrating into their systems. Their power had increased, their magical potential broadened—but my own circle remained unmatched.

As I stepped back, observing the network I had created, a cold smile spread across my face. I wasn't just amassing power for myself—I was building an empire. An army of allies, enhanced by bloodline magic, loyal through gratitude, fear, or ambition, ready to be unleashed when the time came.

I had become the center of a web that extended across the wizarding world. Purebloods, neutral families, even some of the light—my influence touched them all. And with each enhancement, each alliance, I grew closer to becoming untouchable. Dumbledore could try to resist, try to manipulate, try to control—but he had yet to see the full scope of my preparation.

And I would make sure that when the moment came, I would not merely challenge him—I would surpass him entirely.
