I tried introducing myself in the mirror earlier.
"Hi, I'm Shin."
…Yeah, no. That sounded terrible.
I even practiced a few times as I fixed my posture, adjusted my tone, tried to look like someone worth listening to. Still awful.
So let's skip all that.
You're here now, and I guess that means you're about to see things I don't usually show people. The messy parts, the embarrassing ones… maybe even the interesting bits, if you're lucky. Think of this as tea time, except the tea is my life.

Parents come up with names in all sorts of ways. Where I live, it's almost a tradition to mix things together: pieces of old names, family names, sometimes even something random that meant something at the time. You'll meet people named after their grandparents, their parents' favorite artists, even the doctor who delivered them.
Yeah. It gets that sentimental.
So you're probably wondering…is "Shin" one of those names too?
I guess you could say it is just not in the way you'd expect.
"Shin" isn't just a name. It's who I used to be.
