The first slime was just the beginning. As I looked deeper into the glowing red cavern, I realized I had stumbled into a Slime Nest. Dozens of the molten jelly creatures were wobbling toward me, sensing the mana of a fresh "F-Rank" snack.
"Nero, again!" I shouted.
We fell into a rhythm. Every time a slime lunged, I activated [CINDER-CLAW]. I slashed through one, then another, then three more. My muscles were screaming, and the heat was intense, but I didn't stop. I needed the power. I needed to see those numbers move.

I stood in the middle of the quiet cave, gasping for air. I felt the Water Element settle into my veins—it was a cool, refreshing contrast to the burning fire I had been using.
"Inventory..." I whispered. I picked up the ten fire-cores scattered on the floor. With a flick of my wrist, they vanished into thin air, tucked away safely inside Nero's dimensional space.
"Level 3," Nero hissed, his scales looking slightly polished and sharper than before. "The 'Hollow' shell is finally cracking. With the Merge skill, you aren't just a boy with a lizard anymore. You are becoming a walking natural disaster."
I looked deeper into the cave. I could see the mana flowing toward a large chamber at the back. My Dragon's Sight picked up a massive heat signature.
"There's something big back there," I said, a smirk growing on my face. "And now that I have the Water element in a Fire dungeon... I think it's time to see how fast we can really climb."
