The rest of the pack stared at me for a few seconds, I don't know if they were surprised or scared and honestly, I didn't care. Because a moment later they were running. All of them, at once.
"Oh yeah." I sighed. "Why would it be that simple?"
The first two tried to cut off my escape route, the next four ran straight at me, the rest of the pack split off and tried to surround me. Pretty smart for ordinary monsters.
"My lord." Agrona spoke up.
"Can I intervene?"
"Only when necessary."
"I understand."
I practically lunged forward, flying right between them. The first Lycan jumped, the dagger piercing its neck. The second tried to attack from the side, so I formed a second dagger in my left hand. One quick move, another dead. a third, a fourth, a fifth. After years of training, they seemed almost slow. They were fast, no doubt, but my body was faster.
Honestly? I was starting to enjoy it.
The last monster hit the ground and instantly disintegrated into blue particles. "That was easy."
[The system agrees.]
We continued deeper into the station. The further we went, the more the place resembled a real subway. There were broken vending machines, overturned benches, and more Lycans.
This time there were even more of them, at least twenty.
"Okay." I smiled. "That looks better now." The next few minutes were one-sided. I created a shadow sword, daggers were good, but sometimes it was nice to use something bigger.
The first Lycan tried to jump, so I cut him in half in mid-air. The second one I hit with a fire projectile. The third one was pierced by a stone spear. I was starting to understand why the system had marked this dungeon as beginner. But I was no longer at beginner level.
As the last Lycan fell, a familiar announcement appeared before me.
[Level up!]
[Level 30 → 31]
"Finally." Pleasant. But I immediately knew from the experience bar that the next level wouldn't be so easy.
[The system notifies the host.]
"For what?"
[The host is starting to get spoiled.]
"Shut up."
We continued on.
For the next hour we basically cleaned the entire subway, room by room and tunnel by tunnel. During that time here I managed to advance to the next level

We stopped and in front of us was a huge metal door. Much bigger than any other door I could feel the energy behind it. So we were finally here.
I slowly walked to the door, placed my hand on it and felt the cold metal. "Agrono, now this is going to be something," I remarked and slowly pushed the door open, and a loud metal creak was heard.
Kasak, the blue venomous fang. The first real boss of my life.
