Chapter 20 - As If Nothing Happened

The campus hadn't recovered.

Whispers followed her everywhere.

Eyes lingered longer than usual.

"…That's her…"

"…Dining hall…"

"…Did you see—"

Tahee walked through it all calmly.

"…Why is everyone staring more than usual?"

She entered the classroom.

Sat down.

Like nothing had happened.

"…Strange."

Students inside—

Immediately went silent.

Someone almost dropped their book.

Tahee blinked.

"…Again?"

A chair scraped loudly.

She turned slightly.

Miya.

Sitting two rows away.

Avoiding eye contact.

Completely.

Tahee stared for a second.

"…Oh."

A pause.

"…She looks even cuter when embarrassed."

THUD.

A book fell.

Miya froze.

Her ears turned red instantly.

Tahee tilted her head slightly.

"…Why is she reacting like that again?"

Before things could escalate—

The door opened.

Another teacher entered.

Calm. Strict.

The class immediately straightened.

Tahee rested her chin on her hand.

"…Alright. New class."

The teacher began explaining.

But Tahee's attention—

Didn't stay there.

Her gaze drifted again.

Toward the front.

"…Hmm."

A pause.

"…Not as handsome as the previous one."

Silence.

The teacher paused mid-sentence.

The class froze.

Tahee blinked.

"…But still decent."

Someone coughed violently.

The teacher turned slowly.

Eyes scanning the class.

Suspicious.

Tahee looked completely innocent.

"…Why does this keep happening?"

The teacher continued again.

Tahee sighed softly.

"…Focus."

A pause.

"…No distractions."

Two seconds passed.

"…Still… that dining hall scene…"

Her eyes flickered briefly toward Miya again.

"…Soft lips."

CLANG.

A pen hit the floor loudly.

Miya stood up abruptly.

"I-I need water—"

And rushed out of the classroom.

The door shut behind her.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Tahee blinked slowly.

"…What did I do now?"

Across the room—

Jungkook sat quietly.

Too quietly.

His gaze—

Not on the board.

But on her.

Sharp.

Unreadable.

"…Why is he staring again?"

Tahee looked away casually.

"…This school is exhausting."

But the tension—

Didn't fade.

It only grew.
