After a few minutes, Zachary's voice broke the silence again.
He asked casually, "Did you go to Virelle with your friends?" while keeping his eyes on the road ahead.
"Hmm...yeah." Sienna nodded before glancing at him briefly. "My friend was fired from the company."
The moment she brought it up, sadness crept into her heart. Her sorrow over losing her best friend was enough to dampen her mood once more.
"Fired?" Zachary finally turned his head toward her, genuine surprise appearing on his face. "Why does your company always fire people?"
Sienna stared at him for a moment before sighing deeply. "I know, right?" she said helplessly. "My company is honestly very weird."

"First, Mia almost got fired," she continued, shaking her head. "Now, Riley. At this point, I'm scared to check my email every morning."
