CeCe didn't know how long she had been lying there the first time she woke up in Soraya's cave, staring at the curved ceiling like it held answers she wasn't ready to hear, but one thing she knew for sure was that this place… felt different, not safe exactly, but quiet enough for her to breathe without someone waiting to slap her for existing, and at that point, she was willing to accept anything that didn't come with flying hands and public humiliation.
The cave itself didn't look like the usual beast dwellings she had seen so far and definitely no loud arguing outside the entrance, instead the place carried a strange calm, almost like the air had been forced to behave, soft glowing stones lined the walls, casting a gentle light that didn't hurt her eyes, and the faint scent of herbs lingered around like someone had been brewing something that could either heal you or knock you unconscious for three days straight.
