Chapter 170 - Opening the God-Sealing Platform

Chapter 170: Opening the God-Sealing Platform

The air within the grand conference hall stagnated, plunging into an eerie, suffocating silence the moment the words 'Snow Empress' left Liu Yuan's lips.

Tension had gripped the room like a vice, but as Liu Yuan methodically broke down the reality of the situation, the suffocating pressure began to recede. He pointed out the obvious fractures in the Snow Empress's Origin, her unmatched state of vulnerability, and the obvious fact that they were standing in the absolute heart of the Body Sect. Shoulders lowered. The collective, held breath of the sect's upper echelon released in a heavy sigh.

"His analysis is sound." Elder Chen dragged a sleeve across his brow, wiping away a sheen of cold sweat. His gaze drifted back to the God-Sealing Platform, staring at the deep blue glow radiating from within the lead box. "She is far from her peak. With her Origin trapped inside that contraption, we hold the absolute initiative. However..."

The elder shifted his weight, his brow furrowing as he looked at the young man. "Yuan, since you saw through her disguise from the start, what exactly are you planning?"

"Do you truly intend to follow through with what was just suggested? To turn her into your sixth Spirit Ring?" Chen shook his head, his voice tinged with concern. "You are a monster of a genius, yes, but a seven-hundred-thousand-year Spirit Ring? Your physical vessel, as tyrannical as it is, would shatter under that kind of pressure right now."

Du Busi crossed his arms, his emerald eyes narrowing. "Speak your mind, boy. What are you scheming?"

Standing in the dead center of the hall, Liu Yuan remained perfectly still. A deep purple-gold light flowed through his Double Pupils, interweaving with a divine, calculating brilliance. He met the anxious, questioning stares of the elders. He didn't rush to answer. He let the silence stretch, allowing the gravity of the moment to settle before delivering his response in an impossibly calm, unwavering tone.

"I intend to subdue her."

A collective, sharp intake of breath tore through the hall. The elders, who had just managed to calm their racing hearts, were thrown right back into a state of absolute shock. Chairs scraped violently against the stone floor as several men shot to their feet, their eyes wide with sheer disbelief.

"Subdue the Snow Empress?! Boy, do you have any idea what you are saying?" Elder Zhang's voice cracked, rising a full octave. His lips parted, and his long beard trembled violently against his chest.

"That is the Snow Empress! The absolute ruler of the Far North! Even with a fractured Origin, she remains an apex Savage Beast with nearly seven hundred thousand years of cultivation!" Zhang slammed a hand against the table. "For a Spirit Beast to reach that pinnacle, the sheer arrogance carved into her very bones eclipses even the pride of our Body Sect! And you think you can make her bow to a human?"

Another elder chimed in, his face pale. "In the ten-thousand-year history of the Spirit Master world, such a thing is completely unheard of. It is suicide!"

"It is far too reckless," another elder muttered, shaking his head grimly. "An entity of her caliber cannot be measured against ordinary Spirit Beasts. She is ruthless, cold, and utterly untamable. If she chooses to detonate her Origin during the process, or worse, feigns submission only to strike when your guard is down... you are digging your own grave." He sighed heavily. "It might be a waste to refine her into a Spirit Ring later, but at least that is power you can strictly control."

Confronted by a wall of skepticism and panic, Liu Yuan's expression didn't so much as twitch. No impatience, no frustration. He simply turned his gaze to Du Busi, then swept his eyes over the frantic elders, his posture relaxed and grounded.

"I understand your concerns," Liu Yuan began, his voice cutting through the noise with steady authority. "However, bringing her to heel is far from impossible."

He paced a single step forward, his tone dropping into a serious timber. "First, the matter of suppressing and stabilizing her Origin. I have a rather unique senior residing within me—Electrolux. His mastery over the soul and the fundamental laws of energy Origin far surpasses anything currently understood on this continent. He can intervene, carefully repairing her fractured Origin piece by piece without damaging her foundation."

Liu Yuan's lips curved into a faint, pragmatic smile. "But it is a grueling, drawn-out process. To survive it, the Snow Empress will have no choice but to rely entirely on my Sea of Consciousness and my vitality. That dependency is my absolute bargaining chip."

The elders exchanged uncertain glances. While the name 'Electrolux' was largely a mystery to them, Du Busi had briefly briefed the core echelon about the mysterious entity backing their young prodigy.

"Secondly," Liu Yuan continued, his eyes sharp with calculated insight. "Spirit Beasts do not process the world the way humans do. A human will smile to your face and slide a dagger into your back for a handful of gold coins. Spirit Beasts, especially those standing at the absolute apex like her, operate on a much more rigid, sincere code."

He tapped his temple lightly. "To them, dignity and pride eclipse all else. If we present enough sincerity, and if she gives her word, the inherent pride of a supreme powerhouse will bind her. She will not break a pact once made."

"." Liu Yuan extended a hand, pointing directly at the glowing God-Sealing Platform. "She is backed into a corner. Without my intervention, her fate is sealed. She will either be refined into a mindless, terrifying Soul Tool by the Sun Moon Empire, or she will slowly rot away as her energy bleeds dry. We are not enslaving her. We are throwing her a lifeline. We are offering her a second chance to strive for a higher realm."

Du Busi absorbed the boy's logic in silence. A calculating gleam flickered within his deep emerald eyes. He knew his disciple's temperament better than anyone; Liu Yuan was ruthless, yes, but he was never reckless. The boy never stepped onto a battlefield without a guaranteed path to victory.

The concept of taming the Snow Empress bordered on sheer lunacy, but the potential payoff? If Liu Yuan actually pulled this off, the Body Sect would essentially acquire a Limit Douluo-level guardian for absolutely nothing. The sheer weight of that temptation was intoxicating.

The Sect Master exchanged a heavy look with the core elders.

Elder Chen let out a long, defeated sigh. The lingering worry in his eyes was evident, but it was ultimately overshadowed by a deep, unwavering trust in the young man standing before them.

"Since you are this adamant, and you have clearly mapped out every variable..." Du Busi finally broke the silence, his gaze locking onto Liu Yuan. "Then do it your way. Whatever path you choose to walk, boy, remember that the Body Sect will always stand as your absolute shield."

The Sect Master's expression immediately hardened, his aura flaring with lethal intent. "However, let us establish the ground rules right now. We are allowing you to attempt this, but I, along with every Titled Douluo in this room, will be watching your every breath. We will deploy a joint Domain to lock down the energy fluctuations of that platform. The second—the absolute millisecond—she shows any sign of losing control or harbors the slightest intent to harm you, your safety takes priority."

Du Busi's voice dropped into a deadly, freezing whisper. "If that happens, we will spare no expense to obliterate her consciousness entirely. Do you understand?"

Liu Yuan met his master's gaze. He knew this was their absolute bottom line, a proof of how deeply the sect valued his life over any supreme treasure.

"I understand," Liu Yuan replied, nodding firmly. "Rest assured, Elders. If the situation turns sour, I will not gamble with my own life."

The atmosphere in the hall shifted, growing thick and oppressive.

Du Busi's figure blurred, instantly reappearing directly above Liu Yuan. A torrent of rich, dark-green spirit power erupted from his body, thick and viscous like liquid jade. The overwhelming energy cascaded downward, perfectly sealing off a ten-meter radius around the young man.

Moving in perfect synchronization, Elder Chen, Elder Zhang, and four other Titled Douluo scattered, occupying six distinct points around the perimeter. Their Martial Souls flared to life simultaneously. The sheer, tyrannical oppressive force of six Titled Douluo igniting their power instantly drained the oxygen from the room, forging an absolute, impenetrable vacuum defensive circle.

At the center of the formation, Liu Yuan took a slow, measured breath, forcing his heart rate to steady and his mind to clear.

After briefly confirming his readiness with Electrolux within his Sea of Consciousness, he raised his right hand. He reached out toward the God-Sealing Platform, his skin bathed in its haunting, deep blue radiance.

His fingertips brushed against the freezing, metallic surface of the lead box's locking mechanism.

Click.

The sharp, crisp sound of the mechanical latch disengaging echoed like a gunshot in the dead silence of the hall.

Without a second of hesitation, Liu Yuan threw the God-Sealing Platform wide open.
