Chapter 1 - Cursed hospital

Part 1: The Arrival

Mia, a 17-year-old girl, had never been so nervous. She stood at the rusty gates of Ravenwood House, her grandmother's old mansion, perched on a hill that overlooked the village. The sky was heavy with clouds, and the wind whispered through the bare trees. The villagers had warned her: "Once you spend a night there, you'll never leave the same." She laughed nervously, dismissing it as superstition.

The mansion was larger than she imagined, its stone walls blackened by years of neglect. The main door creaked loudly as she pushed it open, revealing a grand hall layered with dust. Cobwebs hung like curtains, and the faint smell of mold and decay filled the air. Mia felt a shiver run down her spine.

As she explored, she noticed that the house seemed… alive. Shadows moved at the corner of her eyes, whispering unintelligible words. The grandfather clock ticked irregularly, each chime echoing like a warning. When she reached the staircase, she paused, hearing her name—"Mia…"—faint, soft, and drawn out, as if the house itself were calling her.

Part 2: The Hidden Door

The next morning, Mia ventured into the attic. Dust swirled around her as she pushed aside crates and old furniture. That's when she noticed it—a hidden door, almost blending into the wall. A rusty key hung nearby on a nail, as if waiting for her.

Inside, the room was small and dimly lit by a cracked window. Old portraits lined the walls, their eyes dark and hollow. Mia felt a chill as she moved past them—the eyes seemed to follow her. On the floor, she found a leather-bound diary belonging to Isabella, her grandmother's cousin, who had lived here a century ago.

The diary spoke of a "Watcher," a shadow that fed on fear and trapped souls in mirrors and shadows. The final entry ended abruptly: "It is in the walls. It knows. Do not look… or it will see you."

As she read, a shadow flickered across the room. Mia spun around, heart racing, but the room was empty. When she glanced back at the portraits, she could swear the eyes were smiling.

Part 3: The Whispers

That night, Mia could not sleep. The whispers began softly, echoing through the walls. "Mia… come to us… join us…" she heard. Every door creaked open on its own. Her reflection in the mirror no longer looked like her—it was paler, eyes hollow, and she felt it was staring back at her.

Suddenly, a hand seemed to brush her shoulder, though no one was there. The air grew colder, and the shadows in the corners of her room stretched unnaturally, crawling like living things. She realized the mansion was feeding on her fear, strengthening the whispers.

Mia clutched Isabella's diary for courage. The next morning, she swore she saw faint outlines of people moving behind the walls—trapped souls begging for release. The mansion had been alive far longer than she could imagine.

Part 4: The Shadows' Game

Over the next few days, the mansion grew bolder. Shadows moved independently, sometimes taking human shapes. They whispered secrets, revealed past horrors of Ravenwood, and tried to lure Mia into the hidden room with promises of power, safety, and knowledge.

One night, she found a locked trunk that vibrated with energy. Inside was a silver locket, glowing faintly, with a note: "Only courage can break the curse." Mia began to understand: the Watcher wasn't just a shadow—it was the house itself, manifesting fears and memories, growing stronger with each terrified heartbeat.

The shadows began to mock her, twisting into grotesque forms. Every hallway seemed to lead back to the hidden room. Sleep became impossible, and she realized the mansion wanted more than fear—it wanted her soul.

Part 5: The Revelation

Mia poured over Isabella's diary and notes scattered around the mansion. She learned the terrible truth: Ravenwood had been cursed by an ancestor, a man who had dabbled in dark rituals to control life and death. The Watcher was his creation, a being born from fear itself.

The shadows were past victims, trapped in mirrors and walls, doomed to feed future intruders. To survive, Mia had to confront her own deepest fears: loneliness, the terror of disappearing, and losing herself completely.

With trembling hands, she planned her final confrontation. She knew running was impossible—the mansion had grown sentient. The only way to survive was to face the Watcher, face the house, and break the cycle of fear

Part 6: The Confrontation

That night, Mia returned to the attic, where the shadows had gathered, coalescing into the Watcher. It was taller than a man, faceless, with eyes that glowed like coals. It whispered all her fears at once, promising eternal torment.

Clutching the silver locket, she spoke aloud, facing her fears: "I am not afraid of you." The Watcher shrieked, twisting and contorting, its form fracturing into thousands of shards. Mirrors shattered, releasing trapped spirits who vanished in a burst of light.

The mansion trembled violently, but the front door creaked open. Exhausted and shaking, Mia ran into the dawn. Behind her, Ravenwood House stood silent, its dark windows like hollow eyes. Though she had survived, she knew the whispers would never fully leave her. Ravenwood always remembered, always waited for the next soul to tempt.
