Chapter 783 - Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon! A Great Power Behind the Light of Ruin

Chapter 783: Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon! A Great Power Behind the Light of Ruin

Stellar energy converged and compressed between Boros's hands, radiating a blinding intensity that easily eclipsed the sun.

Seeing Vivi casually hold back the massive, crumbling planet crashing toward her with just a single hand, Boros narrowed his single eye. The sheer physical density of his opponent was vastly superior to anything he had calculated.

A manic thrill rushed through his veins. His battle lust flared higher.

"Human, can you survive this blow?" Boros's voice vibrated through the vacuum of space. "I look forward to finding out."

He threw a punch.

The compressed power of the stars erupted outward, transforming into a blazing, apocalyptic light cannon. It slammed directly into the planet hovering in front of Vivi. The celestial body shattered instantly, disintegrating like a fragile eggshell under a hammer. The blinding torrent of energy did not stop, completely engulfing Vivi in a sea of destructive white light.

Misaka Mikoto: "Hiss... Can battles really reach this kind of scale?"

Staring at the live broadcast interface hovering in her vision, Misaka Mikoto sat in stunned silence. She had always believed that being a Level 5 esper was the absolute pinnacle of strength. But then she had watched Ren casually toy with other Level 5 espers as if they were toddlers.

And after that bizarre incident where she spent her time pulling weeds in Egypt, Ren had gifted her an unimaginable surge of power. She felt the thrum of energy in her veins now, a force so vast she suspected she could easily obliterate a planet herself. But she had never actually tried it. It wasn't exactly like she could just blow up the Earth to test her limits.

Misaki Shokuhou: "Is a battle like this really okay? So many stars were just wiped out."

Ren: "Don't worry about it. I casually created this pocket universe just for this fight. There is absolutely no life here."

Misaki Shokuhou: "...As expected of you."

Aqua: "So the enemy doesn't actually seem very strong either."

Ren: "He's not. This Doomsday Companion is just so-so. Barely seven stars."

Not strong?

Tatsumaki stood frozen, her jaw slightly slack. Was this incredibly exaggerated, reality-breaking battle just a hallucination?

She slowly turned her head to look at Ren. "Vivi... Is she okay?"

That was an entire planet exploding right in her face.

"Heh heh, Vivi is much stronger than you can possibly imagine." Ren chuckled lightly, gesturing toward the center of the destruction. "See for yourself."

Tatsumaki followed his gaze, her brow furrowed in deep confusion.

As the blinding light cannon that had pierced through numerous stars finally began to fade, Vivi's silhouette emerged. She stood perfectly suspended in the void, completely unharmed. Not a single strand of her hair was singed.

"Is that all?" Vivi asked. She casually patted a speck of cosmic dust off her clothes, her expression thoroughly bored.

Boros froze.

He knew the destructive yield of his own attack. He himself would have been instantly vaporized by a blast of that magnitude, yet this human woman was completely untouched? Did an entity like this truly exist in the universe?

Earth... Was this backwater planet really hiding such terrifying power?

He had originally thought the seer's prophecy only spoke of a single existence capable of giving him a true fight. Not long ago, he was certain it was that bald human. But looking at the scene before him... it seemed his assumptions were entirely wrong.

Vivi tilted her head, looking at the alien conqueror with genuine curiosity. "If that was your strongest power, this battle could have ended a long time ago."

Boros's single eye widened, and he suddenly bared his razor-sharp teeth in a wild, sinister grin.

"Strongest? I'll show you what 'strongest' truly means!"

A terrifying aura exploded from his form.

This time, the gravitational pull of his energy stirred every surrounding celestial body. The colorful, crackling energy patterns covering Boros's skin flared violently as his muscles swelled and expanded to grotesque proportions. The void itself warped around his sheer mass.

This was his absolute peak. His ultimate trump card.

Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon!

A massive, hyper-dense wave of energy gathered deep within his chest, drawing upon every single ounce of latent life force and power within his body. In the past, the sheer output of this attack was more than enough to instantly vaporize a planet's crust.

But now, amplified by the doomsday energy, he possessed the raw power to collapse this entire star system into dust.

"Crack!"

Space fractured around Boros's jaw as he opened his mouth.

All his accumulated energy burst forth. A blinding, roaring wave of annihilation surged outward, carrying the kinetic force to wipe out a solar system. He vowed to make this arrogant human, who showed absolutely no interest in their duel, take him seriously. Otherwise, the exhilarating, life-and-death battle he had traveled across the universe to find would turn into nothing more than a pathetic, one-sided massacre.

He refused to accept such an end.

This strike. It pierced straight through the stars.

The starry sky trembled violently. The fabric of space shattered in all directions, splintering like fragile glass under immense pressure.

Ren, Wuming, and Tatsumaki stood perfectly still, completely unaffected by the apocalyptic shockwaves washing over them.

Vivi, facing the full brunt of the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon directly, remained incredibly calm. Her eyes reflected the blinding light of the beam.

"It really is over."

She slowly raised her hand.

In the starry sky above her, the fabric of space tore wide open. Massive, jagged rifts materialized, creating abyssal cracks large enough to swallow countless stars whole.

From the depths of those dark rifts, colossal blue roses emerged.

The moment the glowing stars touched the sprawling vines and massive petals, they were instantly absorbed, vanishing from the void without a trace. And the primary targets of these cosmic rose vines were the roaring energy wave of the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon and Boros himself.

Boros could only watch in absolute shock as his full-power, life-risking attack was effortlessly blocked. The beam plunged into a blooming blue rose larger than the sun, completely absorbed into the void as if it were nothing more than a trickle of water.

Before he could even process the failure of his ultimate attack, countless blue roses surrounded him.

His entire body locked up, completely unable to move. The crushing pressure of the vines wrapped around him. It felt as though the very throat of his fate had been seized by an inescapable grip.

Boros's single eye slowly shifted away from Vivi's indifferent face, sweeping across the void until his gaze finally landed on Ren, who stood watching with his hands in his pockets.

A bitter, self-deprecating expression twisted Boros's face. "Heh... I was actually naive enough to think I could fight you..."

The moment the last syllable left his mouth, his entire body disintegrated. He shattered into glowing dust within the petals of the massive blue rose, indiscriminately absorbed into the void along with the remnants of his attack.

[Ding! Detected that Boros has been eliminated by Chat Group member Vivi. Doomsday Companion has ended!]

"...Is it really over?" Tatsumaki muttered blankly, staring at the empty space where the alien conqueror had just been.

Today, her entire understanding of reality had been violently restructured. She had truly witnessed that no matter how strong someone was, there were always people stronger, and heavens existing far beyond her own sky.

"It's not over yet," Ren said, his voice calm but carrying a distinct weight.

This was only one facet of the Doomsday Companion. Boros had merely been a vessel, strengthened and manipulated by the Light of Ruin. The true conclusion of this doomsday event required him to solve the Light of Ruin itself.

Ren casually hooked a finger through the empty air.

A wisp of pure, chilling white light emerged from the fabric of the void, swirling obediently around his fingertip. This was precisely the Light of Ruin.

Ren did not immediately crush it. Instead, he narrowed his eyes, intending to trace its cosmic origin.

As he stared directly into the core of the white light, his vision bypassed the physical realm. His gaze traveled backward through the currents of time, piercing through layers of space, and crossing the boundaries of countless worlds. He had originally intended to lock onto the exact source of this destructive energy.

But midway through his cosmic tracking, Ren's eyes snapped open. He abruptly halted his gaze.

A sudden, overwhelming sensation of danger washed over him, forcing him to sever the connection. With a sharp thought, his fingers clamped down, instantly crushing the Light of Ruin into nothingness.

His usual laid-back expression vanished, replaced by an exceptionally serious scowl.

"Brother, what's wrong?" Wuming asked, her hand instinctively dropping to her weapon. She could feel the sudden shift in the atmosphere. Something was definitely amiss.

"...Nothing," Ren replied, though his gaze remained deep and heavy as he stared into the empty void.

He possessed the power to continue the investigation, to force his way to the source. But at that critical, razor-thin moment, he had chosen to stop. A primal, overwhelming premonition had flared in his mind, warning him that taking even one more step forward would trigger a catastrophic disaster.

Lurking deep behind the Light of Ruin, there was a terrifying existence.

The sheer scale of the presence reminded him of the Lord of Myriad Worlds candidate. He didn't hesitate to trust his instincts. Now was not the time to poke that particular beast.

[Ding! Detected Ren eliminating the Light of Ruin. Doomsday ended!]

[Ding! Ren obtained 50 million doomsday points. Vivi obtained 15 million doomsday points. Ren and Tatsumaki obtained 1 million doomsday points!]

Hearing the familiar chime of the system notifications, Ren finally pulled his gaze away from the void. The tension bled out of his shoulders, and his casual demeanor returned.

"Let's go back."

They weren't returning to the end of the world. Ren simply waved his hand, casually erasing the artificial void universe he had constructed for the battle.

Reality shifted around them, and a second later, the group's feet touched down upon the shattered, concrete ruins of Z City.
