THE DAY I WAS ERASED

Tony knew something was wrong the moment the sky stopped moving.

Not dimmed.

Not clouded.

Stopped.

---

At first, it felt like nothing.

Just another ordinary afternoon—cars humming along the road, people rushing past with headphones in, eyes glued to their phones like the world beyond their screens didn't matter.

Normal.

Everything looked normal.

Everything should have been normal.

---

But Tony couldn't stop staring upward.

There was a plane in the distance.

A small white speck against the pale blue sky.

Except—

It wasn't moving.

---

"…That's weird."

He narrowed his eyes, shifting slightly for a better angle.

Still nothing.

No motion.

No change in position.

---

"Hey," Tony said, nudging the guy standing beside him at the pedestrian crossing. "Do you see that?"

The guy barely glanced up. "See what?"

"The plane. It's just… stuck."

The guy looked properly this time.

Then scoffed.

"Bro, it's just far away. Perspective."

Tony didn't respond.

Because he knew the difference between something being far…

And something being wrong.

---

The traffic signal switched to green.

People started walking.

Feet moving. Conversations resuming. Life continuing like nothing had changed.

---

Tony didn't move.

---

A strange pressure settled in his chest.

Not fear.

Not yet.

Something quieter.

Something sharper.

---

Run.

---

The thought appeared suddenly.

Clear.

Urgent.

---

Tony frowned.

"Why would I—"

---

The sky cracked.

---

No explosion.

No warning.

No sound.

---

Just—

A thin line.

---

A glowing fracture stretching across the sky like someone had taken a blade and sliced reality itself open.

---

Everything stopped.

---

Cars froze mid-motion.

A cyclist hung mid-turn.

A child mid-laugh—

Silenced.

---

Even the air felt frozen.

---

Tony's breath hitched.

"…What the hell…"

---

The crack spread.

Slowly.

Beautifully.

Terrifyingly.

---

It widened like glass breaking in slow motion.

Except—

This wasn't glass.

---

This was the sky.

---

Then—

Reality glitched.

---

The man who had just been beside Tony—

Flickered.

---

For a split second, his body distorted.

Like bad signal.

Like corrupted data.

---

Then—

He vanished.

---

No sound.

No trace.

No blood.

---

Just—

Gone.

---

Tony stumbled back.

"…No…"

---

Across the street, a woman screamed—

Then cut off mid-sound as her body flickered—

And disappeared.

---

A car blinked out of existence.

Half a building followed.

---

It wasn't destruction.

---

It was removal.

---

As if something was selecting pieces of the world—

And deleting them.

---

Tony's heartbeat exploded in his chest.

"This isn't real… this isn't real…"

---

But it was.

---

Because then—

Something appeared.

---

Not in front of him.

Not around him.

---

Inside his vision.

---

A faint blue interface.

Transparent.

Cold.

---

Text formed.

---

[System Initialization Failed]

---

Tony froze.

"…System?"

---

The words distorted instantly.

Glitching violently.

---

[Error… Error… Error…]

---

The screen flickered again.

Then—

Stabilized.

---

[Subject Detected: Tony]

[Status: Unregistered]

[Action: Delete]

---

Tony's blood turned cold.

"…Delete?"

---

The word echoed.

Not in his ears.

In his mind.

---

"No—wait—"

---

The ground beneath him flickered.

Breaking apart into fragments of light.

---

His hands—

Distorted.

---

Fingers stretching unnaturally before dissolving into particles.

---

"…No… no no no—"

---

Panic hit.

Hard.

Raw.

Real.

---

"I'm still here!"

---

The system didn't respond.

Didn't hesitate.

Didn't care.

---

[Deleting… 12%]

---

Tony dropped to his knees.

His arm faded further.

Gone from the elbow down.

---

"…Please…"

---

His voice trembled.

Cracked.

---

"I didn't do anything…"

---

Memories flooded his mind.

---

His room.

Late-night scrolling.

Laughing with friends.

Simple things.

Normal things.

---

"…I don't want to die…"

---

[Deleting… 34%]

---

His legs began to disappear.

---

Tony collapsed fully.

Struggling to breathe.

To think.

To exist.

---

"…Is this how it ends…?"

---

Above him—

The crack in the sky widened.

Revealing something beyond.

---

Not stars.

Not space.

---

Darkness.

---

Endless.

---

Watching.

---

Then—

Everything stopped.

---

The system froze.

---

Mid-process.

---

[Deleting… 47%]

---

A pause.

---

Silence.

---

Then—

A new message appeared.

---

Different.

Distorted.

Wrong.

---

[…Override Detected]

---

Tony's breath hitched.

"…Override…?"

---

The air changed.

---

He felt it instantly.

---

Something had just noticed him.

---

Not the system.

---

Something else.

---

Something older.

---

Something that shouldn't exist.

---

The message shifted again.

---

[Unauthorized Presence Found]

---

A pause.

---

Then—

---

[Decision Required]

---

Tony's vision blurred.

"…Decision…?"

---

This didn't feel like the system anymore.

---

It felt…

Alive.

---

Two options appeared.

---

[Option 1: Complete Deletion]

[Option 2: Forced Integration]

---

Tony's mind raced.

"…Integration into what?"

---

No answer.

---

Of course.

---

There was never an explanation.

---

Only consequences.

---

[Deleting… 52%]

---

Time was running out.

---

His body was almost gone.

---

"…Think… THINK…"

---

But there was no time.

No logic.

No strategy.

---

Only instinct.

---

Survive.

---

Tony clenched what remained of his hand.

---

"…I choose…"

---

The world held its breath.

---

Waiting.

---

For him.

---

"…I choose to live."

---

The moment the words left his mouth—

---

Reality shattered.

---

Not cracked.

Not glitched.

---

Shattered.

---

Completely.

---

The system screamed.

---

[ERROR ERROR ERROR]

[UNAUTHORIZED DECISION]

[FORCED INTEGRATION INITIATED]

---

Pain.

---

Not physical.

---

Something deeper.

---

Like his existence was being rewritten.

---

Torn apart—

And rebuilt.

---

Tony screamed.

---

His body dissolved completely—

---

Then reformed.

---

Different.

---

Stronger.

---

Wrong.

---

The sky collapsed inward.

Swallowing everything.

---

The city—

Gone.

---

The people—

Gone.

---

The world—

Gone.

---

Only darkness remained.

---

Endless.

---

Silent.

---

Tony floated.

---

Alone.

---

"…Did I survive…?"

---

Silence.

---

Then—

Footsteps.

---

Behind him.

---

Slow.

Deliberate.

---

Tony turned.

---

And froze.

---

Because something was standing there.

---

A figure.

---

Humanoid—

But not human.

---

Its presence distorted everything around it.

---

Reality bent slightly.

---

Like it didn't belong.

---

Its eyes locked onto him.

---

And in that moment—

Tony understood something terrifying.

---

He hadn't escaped.

---

He had been noticed.

---

"…What are you?" he whispered.

---

The figure tilted its head.

---

Then spoke.

---

Its voice wasn't loud.

Wasn't quiet.

---

It simply—

Existed.

---

"You were not meant to exist."

---

Tony's breath stopped.

"…Then why am I still here?"

---

The figure stared at him.

Longer this time.

---

As if measuring something.

---

Weighing something.

---

Then—

It smiled.

---

Not warm.

Not cruel.

---

Knowing.

---

"…That," it said softly—

---

"is what we're about to find out."

---

---

Tony survived deletion.

👉 But something far worse just claimed him.

---

And now—

👉 If he was never meant to exist… then what exactly did he just become?
