Chapter 83 - Chapter 83: Am I Future Ruler Now?

Seeing Robin put it that way, Rowan decisively shut his mouth and stopped objecting.

Robin started thinking. Since Crocodile was off the table, who should she recruit next?

Just then, a name appeared in her mind.

Issho. Fujitora.

User of the Press-Press Fruit. Future Marine Admiral.

A top-tier combatant, unquestionably stronger than Crocodile. Even future Crocodile, after getting his Haki back, still wouldn't be Fujitora's match.

At this point in time, he was probably wandering around some casino somewhere. After all, the man was a real gambler through and through.

The problem was that there were casinos everywhere in the world. Robin had no idea which one Fujitora was currently wasting time in.

So she could only turn to Rowan for help.

"Boss, can you do me a small favor?"

"What is it?" Rowan glanced sideways at her.

"I want to know where future Admiral Fujitora is. Can you look for him with your farsight magic?"

"Even if you put it that way…"

Rowan was helpless. His farsight magic could see very far. It could see Wano, Dressrosa, the Sabaody Archipelago, even Mary Geoise.

But finding a country and finding one person were two completely different things.

The former was like finding a piece of land in the sea.

The latter was like fishing for a needle in the ocean.

The difference was enormous.

Robin knew that too, so she reminded him, "You could try Gran Tesoro."

Gran Tesoro was the Golden Emperor's territory.

A massive ship over ten thousand meters long, constructed entirely of gold, pulled by two giant island turtles and capable of sailing through the Calm Belt.

It held an entire city on its deck—casinos, theaters, hotels, and every kind of entertainment facility imaginable. It was known as the greatest entertainment city in the world.

It could also be called the number one casino in the world.

Given Fujitora Issho's love of gambling, it wouldn't be strange for him to show up there.

Rowan nodded and used farsight magic to sweep across the New World. He quickly found Gran Tesoro.

But after scanning it a few times, Rowan shook his head.

"He's not there. I didn't find Fujitora on Gran Tesoro."

Robin clicked her tongue softly and said, "Looks like we'll have to ask someone for help."

"Who?"

"Morgans."

President of the World Economy News Paper, user of the Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Albatross, and one of the emperors of the underworld.

His informants were spread across the entire world. Finding one person in the sea was nearly impossible for most people, but for Morgans, it wasn't difficult.

The hard part was figuring out how to move him—how to persuade him to help.

Robin's eyes flickered as her mind raced. Very soon, she came up with a good idea.

She took out a Transponder Snail and called Dragon.

"I want Morgans's contact information."

She was sure that with Dragon's status and intelligence network, there was no way he wouldn't have Morgans's number.

Sure enough, after hearing Robin's request, Dragon didn't hesitate at all and gave her Morgans's contact.

Robin hung up on Dragon and called Morgans.

"Hello, hello, this is Morgans. Who's this?" It didn't take long for him to answer. Only a handful of people in the world had this number, and every one of them was a major figure.

"This is Nico Robin."

Morgans froze for a second, then burst into laughter. "I see, I see. The survivor of Ohara—Miss Nico Robin. And what does Miss Robin want with me?"

Even if Robin had seemed to be struggling before she met the Straw Hat crew, her name still carried weight.

The World Government knew her name. The Yonko knew her name. Morgans knew her name.

That was the power of someone who had once been at the center of the world's attention.

"I have a major story I want to sell you. Interested?"

"Oh? A major story? What kind of major story?"

"A major story about one of the Four Emperors—Kaido—being defeated."

"What?!!!"

Morgans let out a shriek. "That's huge news! Absolutely huge news!!!"

He didn't think Robin was lying to him. On one hand, this was the kind of thing that could be verified very easily. On the other hand, people at their level had no reason to lie to each other about something like this.

"Miss Robin, how do you know this?"

Robin said, "I'm in Wano right now. I'm personally watching Kaido battle a samurai from Wano. At the moment, Kaido is at a disadvantage. It's only a matter of time before he loses."

"If your people arrive fast enough, they might even witness the end of the fight with their own eyes."

Morgans was instantly thrilled. Kaido battling a samurai from Wano?

What kind of samurai from Wano could be that outrageous—someone who could fight Kaido, even suppress him?

No. This was a story he absolutely had to see for himself.

"Thank you for the tip. I'm heading to Wano right now," Morgans said eagerly.

Robin smiled and replied, "If you want, I can pick you up. Just tell me where you are, and I can get you to Wano in the shortest time possible."

Morgans's eyes lit up, and he immediately gave his location.

Robin looked up at Rowan.

Rowan understood at once. Using farsight magic, plus Robin's guidance and Morgans's directions, he quickly locked onto Morgans's location.

Then he raised his hand and opened an air door.

On the other side was Morgans, still holding his Transponder Snail.

The sudden appearance of a door in midair startled Morgans, and he instinctively stepped back twice.

At the same time, Robin's voice came through the snail.

"Look up."

Morgans raised his head and, through the air door, saw Robin standing on the other side.

Robin had only been a child when she was first wanted, but her face hadn't changed all that much as she grew older.

Morgans recognized her immediately.

"Come through, Morgans," Robin said, setting down the snail. "Welcome to Wano."

Morgans stepped through the air door and found that he really had arrived in Wano. His face was full of disbelief.

"This is the Door-Door Fruit? Since when could the Door-Door Fruit do something like this?"

He distinctly remembered the Door-Door Fruit being limited to short-range movement. Unless… was this Fruit Awakening?

Robin ignored that question and pointed at Rowan.

"Let me introduce him. This is Rowan—my boss, the one to whom the samurai currently fighting Kaido has pledged his loyalty, and the future ruler of Wano."

Rowan looked utterly baffled.

Huh?

Since when was he supposed to become Wano's future ruler? How come he was only hearing about this now?
