Chapter 158 - "Mother's Kindness and Son's Filial Piety" and "Father's Kindness and Daughter's Filial Piety"

Wang Dong'er felt the aura emanating from the person, an aura similar to that of the "Father" in her memory fragments, yet one that instinctively made her nauseous.

She calmed her emotions and asked, "Is this my 'Father'?"

Her voice carried a barely noticeable tremor, but she couldn't suppress the urge to question him.

"More or less," Kong Mingan said calmly. "What is standing before you now is an existence that underwent Possession by a wisp of his Divine Sense; essentially, it is his Clone."

"Possession." Wang Dong'er chewed on the two words, unconcealed disgust flashing in her eyes.

She took a deep breath, forcibly suppressed her churning emotions, and then asked, "Did you bring me here just to see him?"

"Just a normal experiment," Kong Mingan replied casually. He then extended a finger and, before Wang Dong'er could react, gently tapped her glabella with his fingertip.

In an instant, a vast and majestic aura rose from Wang Dong'er.

The next moment, a handsome, deep-blue phantom figure clad in luxurious robes slowly condensed beside and behind Wang Dong'er, then stepped forward.

Wang Dong'er was stunned, seeing her usually "disobedient" Spirit truly manifest for the first time. At the same time, a subtle pressure assailed her from the depths of her Soul, causing her to unconsciously frown slightly and feel a sense of fatigue.

Wang Dong'er looked up at the young man in front of her, her eyes filled with confusion, unsure how to speak. However, Kong Mingan explained at the opportune moment:

"Because your Soul was directly torn apart, your condition is very poor, and you are currently in a vulnerable, unhealed state. It is normal to feel some discomfort and fatigue."

"Then what about this Spirit?"

"I created it for you." Kong Mingan said, establishing the connection between himself and the Spirit.

"This Sea God Martial Soul of yours was essentially molded by the Sea God's divine force, residual Divine Thought, and a portion of my mental force. It is an authentic Divine RankSpirit.

"It should have brought you tremendous benefits, but because your Soul is damaged, you cannot fully bear it. Therefore, most of its power is currently being passively used to nourish and repair your Soul.

"So, if you want to use this Spirit, you need to raise your cultivation and wait for your Soul injuries to heal."

Kong Mingan's tone was calm. An injury like Wang Dong'er's, where the Soul was torn in half, was extremely difficult, yet not without methods of recovery.

Thanks to Wang Dong'er being the "Daughter of the God King," born in the God Realm, her Soul essence was inherently very high. Furthermore, Elder Yi, who had some understanding of the SoulDomain, had a few methods for Soul recovery.

With these two conditions combined, Wang Dong'er's Soul problem could be resolved.

Wang Dong'er thought of something and couldn't help but ask, "So, those three months I was unconscious..."

"I was performing Soul surgery and shaping your third Spirit," Kong Mingan confirmed.

Wang Dong'er lowered her head, remained silent for a moment, and then spoke in a faint yet clear voice: "...Thank you."

Kong Mingan shook his head, not looking at Wang Dong'er. His gaze remained fixed on the Sea God Martial Soul, and his tone was matter-of-fact:

"No need to thank me. After all, I need to use your Spirit, and the bill for these services has already been sent to you along with the bills for your Big Father and Second Father. Just remember to pay it back."

Wang Dong'er immediately choked up, unable to speak.

Unconsciously, she glanced at her Spirit beside her, her eyes flickering.

Although he did help condense and stabilize this Spirit, she couldn't use her own Spirit, yet someone else could call upon it freely?

This feeling was as if she had become a scabbard, and her Spirit was a Divine Sword forged by someone else and placed inside her body as the scabbard, while the person before her was the sword wielder. Could she only obey his commands and wait to be drawn at any time?

Wang Dong'er watched Kong Mingan, who had closed his eyes and seemed to be controlling her Spirit through some mysterious connection, and unconsciously pursed her lips, feeling inexplicably strange.

As she was thinking, at one moment, she suddenly felt an invisible thought flow into her body along that connection, completely linking up with the Sea God Martial Soul behind her.

The next moment, the dull, hollow eyes of the Sea God Martial Soul suddenly gained luster, and a vast phantom image flickered in its eyes—as if it had come alive?

Wang Dong'er thought to herself, watching intently.

Kong Mingan raised his hand, slightly adapting to the current state of the Sea God Martial Soul. Then, spirit power and mental force intertwined at his fingertip, directly beginning to interfere with and tamper with the Sea God's Divine Trial currently running inside Tang San's body.

During the operation, as if remembering something, he casually grabbed at the air, effortlessly pulling out Tang San's Soul and sending it in front of Wang Dong'er.

"You can look at his memories," Kong Mingan explained, multitasking. "Use your thoughts to connect with the 'Spiritual Pivot'; it will help you read them. Remember to read slowly, don't kill him immediately, I still need him."

Wang Dong'er was momentarily stunned. Could one really flip through another person's memories so directly?

Wang Dong'er's understanding was slightly refreshed, but she still obeyed Kong Mingan's words and tentatively moved her thoughts.

The neutral, peaceful voice of the "Spiritual Pivot" sounded in her mind. Immediately afterward, the panel of the "Spiritual Pivot Network" unfolded before her, and then fragments of Tang San's memories, simply categorized, were displayed for her review.

Wang Dong'er was stunned again. After briefly trying to flip through them, she confirmed that they truly were Tang San's memories.

After a slight pause, she looked at Kong Mingan again and whispered another thank you:

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it," Kong Mingan replied.

Wang Dong'er looked at him, then withdrew her gaze.

She seemed to have thanked him many times today?

She shook her head, composed herself, and began to focus on reviewing the memory fragments.

The surroundings fell into a temporary silence, broken only by the faint glow of spirit power flowing from Kong Mingan's fingertip and Meng Hongchen's slightly curious gaze surveying the area.

After a good while, Kong Mingan's lips curled slightly, and he finished tampering with the Divine Trial.

Meng Hongchen leaned closer, looked at the smile on his face, and raised an eyebrow: "Mingan, that's a very wicked smile."

Kong Mingan chuckled softly: "It is quite entertaining."

Thinking about the Divine Trial he had arranged, and the "motherly kindness and filial piety" drama that might unfold, it was indeed very entertaining.

He turned his head. Wang Dong'er, standing nearby, had also finished reviewing Tang San's memories.

However, compared to the Wang Dong'er who was barely normal just now, her eyes were slightly red again, and her gaze was lost, but in the depths of her eyes, there was a thread of cold hatred that was almost tangible.

Kong Mingan was slightly startled. He suddenly felt that perhaps it wouldn't just be "motherly kindness and filial piety"; maybe a round of "fatherly kindness and filial piety" would be added too?

Was this some kind of Legacy?
