Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Fushiguro Toji

Utahime Iori's heart skipped a beat.

"Who?"

Mahito turned to Ogami Granny and asked with a smile, "If I recall correctly, Ogami Granny, you seem to have extracted Fushiguro Toji's physical information?"

Ogami Granny raised an eyebrow.

"Your Majesty is correct. I do indeed have Fushiguro Toji's physical information... In fact, I have his Soul information as well. But Fushiguro Toji is too dangerous; even just his physical information is enough."

Utahime Iori could no longer contain her shock.

"The Heavenly Restriction, Fushiguro Toji! Why would you want to revive him?"

Generally, Binding Vows are between people, or a person and themselves.

But there is also a very special type of Binding Vow called Heavenly Restriction.

Heavenly Restriction is a type of irresistible and irreversible Binding Vow determined from birth.

The cost after being bound is losing a part of one's body/Cursed Energy while greatly enhancing the opposite attribute.

Kokichi Muta is an example.

He was born with disabilities in exchange for a vast range of Cursed Energy and an astonishing amount of Cursed Energy from birth.

The Heavenly Restriction is even more extreme than Kokichi Muta's. He gave up all of his Cursed Energy, leaving his internal Cursed Energy at exactly zero. This zero Cursed Energy state grants him a natural resistance to Cursed Energy and a physique at the absolute pinnacle of humanity.

Fushiguro Toji is the Heavenly Restriction. He once nearly killed Gojo Satoru and is one of only two people in the entire original work capable of inflicting a fatal wound on Gojo Satoru.

"My original plan was to use Fushiguro Toji to test Gojo Satoru's current abilities. The initial idea was to use a spy within the Jujutsu Higher-Ups to assign a specific mission, but I think that method is no longer viable," Mahito sighed.

Mahito wasn't lying; he had truly decided on that course of action.

After gaining the ability to reincarnate, he wanted to properly test Gojo Satoru. However, a portion of Tokyo Jujutsu High also houses Tengen's shrine. Attacking Tokyo Jujutsu High would be equivalent to facing the combined forces of Gojo Satoru and Tengen, which was far too dangerous.

So, he originally intended for Kenjaku to command the spies within the Jujutsu Higher-Ups, but Kenjaku refused. The reason was simple: the Jujutsu Higher-Ups could only command Gojo Satoru because Gojo Satoru at least maintained a superficial peace with them.

But the situation had changed. The destruction of the Zenin Family had made Gojo Satoru's outlook much more radical, and the Jujutsu Higher-Ups could no longer command him.

Moreover, the Jujutsu Higher-Ups were currently unstable. The destruction of the Zenin Family had caused the spies to fear for their own safety. The chain reaction caused by Mahito's destruction of the Zenin Family was too severe; according to Kenjaku, the old men of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups had even specifically brought in a Special Grade Sorcerer to protect them.

A new method had to be found...

The youth who had been following Ogami Granny stood up from his cross-legged position. Ogami Granny began drawing talismanic incantations around him.

Utahime Iori gulped.

"Are you guys for real? You're going to revive Fushiguro Toji? Are you sure?"

"You seem very nervous," Mahito asked with interest.

"He's the man who almost killed Gojo Satoru," Utahime Iori said solemnly. "Anyone should be nervous when facing him. A man like him should stay dead forever. To a Sorcerer, he is almost a natural enemy... You shouldn't revive him."

"Do you think his revival might threaten Gojo Satoru?" Mahito asked.

"If it's a sneak attack," Utahime Iori whispered.

Mahito gave her a deep look.

"Ieiri-san, you really do enjoy Gojo Satoru's favor."

"Ha—What did you say?!" Utahime Iori flew into a rage. "He has never once taken me seriously from the very beginning! Where do you see him favoring me?! And 'favor'? Ugh, I'm going to puke!"

"Everyone knows that Fushiguro Toji once defeated Gojo Satoru, but within a day, Gojo Satoru pursued him, avenged the shame, and killed Fushiguro Toji. That is the outcome of that battle in most people's eyes," Mahito said calmly. "But only those he trusts could hear the details of his defeat from his own mouth, which is why you say that Fushiguro Toji could still threaten Gojo Satoru's life with a sneak attack."

Because Fushiguro Toji's internal Cursed Energy is exactly zero, if he further trains his presence-hiding techniques, even the Six Eyes cannot detect him.

The primary function of the Six Eyes is actually to adjust the efficiency of Cursed Energy usage and to observe the flow of Cursed Energy in the atmosphere and human bodies. There is nowhere in this world without Cursed Energy; even ordinary people inevitably carry it, as do flowers, trees, stones, the earth, the sky, and the clouds. Therefore, to the Six Eyes, everything in this world is seen clearly.

However, Fushiguro Toji's Heavenly Restriction physique is a freak occurrence with exactly zero Cursed Energy. In the Six Eyes, he cannot be seen at all unless viewed directly.

Supplemented by Cursed Tools that can break the Limitless and top-tier assassination techniques, even the current Gojo Satoru could potentially be killed in a single strike.

Back then, that was exactly how Gojo Satoru was nearly killed by Fushiguro Toji.

And now, while Gojo Satoru may be more experienced and powerful, the same method might not be ineffective. Given the right opportunity, Fushiguro Toji could still kill Gojo Satoru!

Mahito looked at Utahime Iori and smiled.

"Ieiri-san, because of his personal philosophy, there are very few people in the entire Jujutsu World whom Gojo Satoru trusts."

"You are one of them."

Utahime Iori remembered the task Gojo Satoru had entrusted to her during the Exchange Event. At that time, Gojo Satoru stated bluntly that he needed someone to help him investigate the mole in Kyoto, and the person he chose was Utahime Iori.

Utahime Iori was uncharacteristically shaken and asked in return, "Why don't you suspect that I'm the mole?"

Gojo Satoru mocked her:

"You're so weak, how could you possibly be the mole!"

After that, Utahime Iori naturally threw a punch at him.

Utahime Iori clicked her tongue harshly.

"That's not for certain."

Mahito laughed loudly.

"The market for tsunderes isn't very good right now, Ieiri-san."

"Who are you calling a tsundere?!" The veins on Utahime Iori's forehead throbbed.

The youth took out a small bottle and swallowed its contents in one gulp. A circle of talismanic incantations had been drawn, and Ogami Granny began to chant softly while holding her long prayer beads.

Cursed Technique Release—Spirit Evocation Technique.

This is a technique that uses one's own or another's body as a medium to load the body and Soul information of the deceased into a new vessel. The prerequisite for the technique is obtaining a part of the deceased's body.

At this moment, Ogami Granny's physical body was very fragile.

Utahime Iori stared intently at her, noticing from the corner of her eye that Mahito was watching the Spirit Evocation Technique process with interest, seemingly not looking her way at all.

Her fists tightened and relaxed as the thought of launching a sudden attack teased her mind.

She suddenly felt a gaze.

A thin circle of Cursed Energy spread through the entire room like a stream. She shuddered and turned to look; the Chisato sitting behind Mahito's left side was staring at her silently.

Utahime Iori lowered her gaze and relaxed her fingers.

Just then, Ogami Granny's technique was finally completed—

The youth's face became rugged, his skin turned the yellowish hue of East Asian descent, and muscles bulged imperceptibly, filling out his clothes. In an instant, the youth had completely become another person.

Fushiguro Toji opened his eyes.

His sclera were black and his pupils were red, as terrifying as a demon.

He was a tall, robust man with well-defined muscle lines. Although he emitted no hostility, everyone felt a sudden shiver upon seeing him, much like a city dweller encountering a tiger or leopard in the jungle.

He had short, disheveled black hair and a prominent scar at the corner of his mouth. The moment he opened his eyes, it was as if a predator was tensing its muscles for the hunt.

"Command," Ogami Granny said calmly. "Stand where you are. Do not move."

"Ah, I understand, Grandma," said the youth wearing Fushiguro Toji's skin.

Ogami Granny made a gesture of invitation.

Mahito stood up from the cushion and approached the beast-like man. He reached out a hand to slowly touch the man's forehead, but just as his hand was about to make contact, it suddenly stopped—

—Fushiguro Toji's hand had grabbed Mahito's wrist, preventing his touch.

Ogami Granny's eyes suddenly widened.

"How is this possible?! As a precaution, I didn't even load the Soul information; there should only be body information! The current consciousness should belong to my grandson!"

A flash of water-blue blade light appeared in the air.

The Chisato drew the long sword at her waist and arrived between Mahito and Fushiguro Toji in an instant. The water-blue blade light was like—

—an extremely fine thread.

The blade light covered Fushiguro Toji's wrist.

—!

The Chisato's pupils slowly dilated.

Her strike was perfect; even Ashiya Magon would have praised it. However, this perfect draw was forced to a standstill midway. Two fingers lightly pinched the water-blue blade as if pinching a bug's wing.

"How is this possible..." the Chisato whispered.

"Get back—!" someone roared.

Ogami Granny and Utahime Iori dove to either side simultaneously.

Kazeha had appeared at Mahito's side at some point. She raised the Maple Leaf Fan in her hand and fanned it without hesitation.

Cursed Technique Release—Thousand Night Storm!

A massive gale rose out of nowhere, the atmosphere swirling to form a horizontal hurricane. It slammed toward Fushiguro Toji like a wild dragon flying close to the ground.

At this moment, with one hand grabbing Mahito's wrist and the other pinching the Chisato's blade, Fushiguro Toji had nowhere to run.

But he didn't need to run.

He suddenly stomped his foot.

Thunder Tremor Foot!

Boom!

The massive vibration shattered the floor of the drawing room, making it feel as though the entire room shook for a moment. With his foot as the center, countless spiderweb-like cracks extended infinitely in all directions.

Kazeha was aiming at Fushiguro Toji, but he was too close to Mahito and the Chisato. Thousand Night Storm required precise control to avoid friendly fire, but the vibration caused her careful aim to go wide.

The horizontal hurricane formed by the gale blew past Fushiguro Toji's back, making his clothes flap loudly. The hurricane smashed through the drawing room wall into a wooden corridor, the fierce wind picking up wall fragments as it surged through.

Fushiguro Toji finally spoke.

He said, "Ah, I remember I already died."

Ogami Granny lay on the shattered floor, looking up at Fushiguro Toji in disbelief.

"How is this possible?! This guy's body information actually overrode the Soul information! His body is too strong—so strong that it recorded even the Soul information. Even though only the body information was input, his consciousness still awakened!"

Utahime Iori cursed loudly, "I told you before not to bring this monster back!"

"Calling me a monster, how rude."

Fushiguro Toji maintained his posture, glancing at Utahime Iori from the corner of his eye and frowning.

"You are... who are you again? That person of Gojo Satoru's?"

Utahime Iori's eyes widened.

"You know me? But I've never seen you before."

"Before I died, I looked up a lot of information to deal with Gojo Satoru. You were one of them. I even thought about kidnapping you to threaten him," Fushiguro Toji said indifferently. "Because from the data, you seem to have a very good relationship with him."

"Me? A good relationship with Satoru?" Utahime Iori's mouth twitched. "Are you blind?"

"In this world, how many people dare to casually hit Gojo Satoru?" Fushiguro Toji's lips curled into a mocking smile. "His mentor, Principal Yaga, is one. His best friend Geto is another. Who else is left?"

"Only you."

Utahime Iori was stunned.

Come to think of it, she seemed to have never shown any restraint toward the invincible Gojo Satoru, hitting him whenever she wanted. And even though Gojo Satoru could kill her with a single finger, he still obediently let her hit him?

"Fushiguro-san," Mahito smiled and said, "are you interested in taking a commission?"

"Giving a commission to a dead person..." Fushiguro Toji sighed. "Really..."

"The reward is resurrection," Mahito said.
