For the first time since Avala had met Garbiel, she saw him smile.
"Very well."
Gabriel turned around and moved some of his hair to reveal a glowing rose mark that was left on his neck.
"This is our countermeasure."
Avala stared at the mark curiously and touched it with her finger. Nothing happened.
"It just looks like a tattoo of a rose. What does it do?"
"This mark was given to all of us by Miss Lidia. She was bestowed some power a while back that allows her to cleanse anyone of corruption. This rose that's on our skin grants us a higher resistance to it."
Avala's eyes widened.
"She can seriously cleanse someone of corruption? Such a power like that exists?"
"It does."
"This is crazy. Her power directly opposes what the Epigones are using for their strength. With her, I think we actually stand a chance fighting them!"
Slimo waved over at Avala.
