The beast, for the first time since the battle started, looked like it was injured. The wound kept trying to repair itself, but the heat from the lava was too much. Every new piece of skin or muscle would immediately melt off like butter. Maria and Lidia watched on helplessly as the heat wave continued to assault their faces.
"We can't get close without burning ourselves! We have to wait for their fight to finish before I can step in!"
Lidia planted her feet in the ground. Her skin began to glow with power.
