GA: Chapter 76 – The Closer to the Divine, the Further from the Human; The Group Shop Opens

It seemed similar to that concept from films—extracting a person's memories as data and transferring them to another person or a machine.

Perhaps that was a form of resurrection in its own right.

But Bai Xuan had no interest in that. There was no one he wanted to bring back.

This kind of consciousness sea wasn't unique to China—it existed in other nations as well.

As for why they didn't all merge into one, but instead existed separately within their own spaces by country—that he didn't know.

And honestly, he wasn't particularly curious.

Bai Xuan these days still hadn't cultivated a mental will that fully matched his power—but compared to where he had been before, the growth was immense.

In particular, his exchanges with the world consciousness and the civilization consciousness, and bearing witness to that awe-inspiring sea of memory, had elevated something within him. His entire being now radiated a natural, quietly compelling presence.

It was a unique kind of magnetism—born from the elevation of the soul itself.

But this didn't mean he drew crowds when he stepped outside. Quite the opposite. People whose spiritual power was too weak, whose extraordinary ability hadn't reached a certain threshold—the moment they saw Bai Xuan, they instinctively lowered their gaze or looked away.

Not because Bai Xuan projected any kind of imposing authority or domineering presence—simply because the fundamental nature of his existence was too powerful. It caused ordinary people to react that way without knowing why.

In a sense, once your life had evolved to a certain level, you were no longer an ordinary person. The life and interactions you'd once taken for granted were bound to change in some way.

Take romance, for instance—not even romance, just the ordinary thing where men tend to notice beautiful things. Bai Xuan was no exception.

Shortly after awakening [Natural Authority], when he began to understand the importance of physical constitution and it began strengthening itself at a rapid pace, all five of his senses had enhanced along with it—smell, hearing, sight, and the rest.

Smell and hearing he could manage. But sight—at that point his vision hadn't yet reached the level of seeing straight through to bones. It had only sharpened enough to clearly make out the grime inside pores and the mites crawling across the surface of skin.

The trouble was, this came built into the constitution itself—not a controllable ability, so he couldn't simply switch it off.

He could use other means to suppress it, certainly—but that was like a person with perfect eyesight being forced to wear glasses. Unbearable.

Under those conditions, how could he possibly have had any interest in the opposite sex?

Qin Tian was the person with the strongest physical constitution outside of Bai Xuan. His Dragon Deity ability's natural talent was such that, without Bai Xuan's existence, he would undeniably be China's strongest—without contest.

The others, while comparable to Qin Tian in terms of ability talent, all had their weaknesses. Constitution was one of the most critical shortcomings for many of them.

But not for Qin Tian. His ability's growth was comprehensive across the board—he could command wind and lightning, summon storms and rain, and also achieve physical transcendence for close-quarters combat.

So he was also the first person outside of Bai Xuan to notice something was off.

Though since the ability users around him were all reasonably strong, their spiritual energy reserves were decent and their impurities relatively few—so he didn't experience any particularly strange reactions.

The elevation of one's fundamental life essence meant that many things were destined to change.

The stronger you became, the more pronounced the change.

The closer to the divine, the further from the human.

A dragon does not dwell with serpents; a tiger does not walk with dogs.

That was simply the nature of it.

During this period, Bai Xuan purchased from Just Like That Meow some Berry seeds, along with the equipment and method for producing Pokéblocks.

Don't ask where she got them.

Suffice to say the Team Rocket supply chain was remarkably diverse.

He bought these not only for the Pikachus—the Berries themselves had a variety of uses. Combined with the nourishment of spiritual qi, they might become even more potent.

As it turned out, his instinct was right. Not just in terms of effects—the flavor was noticeably better than ordinary Berries as well.

Then one day, while Bai Xuan was in the middle of making Pokéblocks, a chime rang out. He frowned slightly—then relaxed, his expression shifting to something between surprise and curiosity.

"Ding—the chat group's activity level has reached the required threshold. The Group Shop function is now open."

Ordinary Group Owner: "?????"

Ordinary Group Owner: "Am I dreaming?"

Ordinary Group Owner: "The Group Shop is actually open?!"

Turn Daigu into Soup: "Does that mean I don't have to use the lottery anymore? I can just buy things directly from the chat group?"

Be My Son: "Kuhahahaha—this old man has had his eye on the Sage Mode from the Naruto world for quite some time. I wonder how many points it costs."

Umaru: "Nooo, I have a feeling this is completely useless for me."

Umaru: "With barely any points to my name, all I can do is window-shop."

Ordinary Group Owner: "Speaking of points… I don't have many either."

Ordinary Group Owner: "Nooooo, I need to go earn some points right now!"

Ordinary Group Owner: "Distinguished clan members? Unrivaled geniuses? Come at me!"

Ordinary Group Owner: "Treasures and rare materials—all of you, get over here!"

Uchiha Dance King: "…"

Among all the group members, Uchiha Madara's situation was the most complicated.

Points weren't a concern—once he revived, he'd have plenty. But the prerequisite was actually reviving. While he was still in a soul state, what could he do?

This feature was completely useless to him right now.

Umaru: "The richest person in the group right now has to be Daigu, right? Monster carcasses are worth a ridiculous amount."

Turn Daigu into Soup: "It's not quite that exaggerated—I've only made a modest amount, honestly. embarrassed.jpg"

Bai Xuan wasn't watching their exchange. He opened the Group Shop and took a look at its contents.

Small items—toothbrushes, cups. Major items—fate threads, fortune, luck. All present.

Three types of Haki, Devil Fruits, Sharingan, Rinnegan, Rinne Sharingan, Divine Tree Fruit, cultivation techniques, rare materials, the Peaceful Bomb—all present.

The prices, however, were not cheap.

A single Logia-type Smoke-Smoke Fruit cost one hundred thousand points.

Bai Xuan had no interest in Devil Fruits. What he had his eye on was the Rat Charm from the Twelve Sacred Symbols.

One million points. A steep number on the surface—but not entirely unreachable.

From the price alone, it was clear the Rat Charm had a ceiling, and not a particularly high one. Its upper limit was likely tied to the master's own strength.

That didn't matter to Bai Xuan. What he cared about wasn't the combat power of whatever the charm would animate.

From beginning to end, what he wanted was simply a Doraemon. Nothing more.

Whether it came with a four-dimensional pocket or not was irrelevant.

Though perhaps it could also be used to try other things—like a certain Chinese-brand phone.

Beyond items belonging to the worlds of existing group members, there were also goods from other worlds entirely. For now, only ten such items were listed—refreshing every seven days.
