I sat frozen in fear in the backseat after my new owner, the soul eater, got into the back seat. The other two betas took another car, and my nerves grew when the privacy partition was rolled up. I almost couldn't breathe, the alpha's scent almost suffocated in the air.
Was he gonna eat my soul tonight? Or chose to drag it out? What do I expect in his pack? I haven't the slightest idea but I was nervous as hell. It didn't help that I witnessed a bit of his power back in there when he grabbed my dad's shirt. I haven't seen my dad look terrified before and it pleased me more than it should at that moment.
I sneaked a look at him, then my breath caught in my throat when our eyes locked. He was staring at me with an unreadable expression on.
Was he disgusted at the sight of me?
I looked away fast, my face flushing in mortification while my heart pounded away.
My mind instantly returned to Reina and my heart broke all over again, a wave of dejectedness coming over me.
Before I could think about what I was about to say twice, I faced my new owner, fear lodged in my throat but my worry for Reina overshadowed that.
"Please, alpha, can you p- please help me save someone?"
When he just silently watched me, I swallowed and continued. "She's my maid and is in trouble because of me. Please, alpha. I'll do anything… I'll… I'll give you my body in exchange."
My face flushed from saying those words.
This alpha was clearly powerful. If he orders Jaden to free Reina, he'd undoubtedly do it at once. And If I can free Reina, I'll set her free and encourage her to run far away from me.
The alpha let out a low laugh next, shocking me and making me stiffen. It was a low timbre that vibrated through my chest, making knots settle in my stomach.
"Your body already belongs to me since you became my property, little rose." He drawled, making my face redden.
"And I don't do charity."
My heart sank to the ground in disappointment.
As the seconds passed, my desperation tripled and I blurted out the next words that crossed my mind.
"I- I can be of help to you, alpha. I have magical powers."
Jaden and my family claimed I apparently should've awakened some powers at age 16 and while I didn't believe that, there's no harm in lying with that just to save Reina.
He arched a brow which made his handsome face look more handsome.
"Show me." His deep voice ordered.
My heart pounded away as I awkwardly cleared my throat, my mind scrambling for a believable response.
"Um… I, my powers only work on Sundays." I blurted, my breath bated.
He let out a snort before sitting up and all the breath left my lungs. His eyes bored into mine as he spoke.
"I know it's a lie because if it wasn't, you wouldn't have been discarded like trash like you did today. Your selfish father or your pack's stupid prince would have never agreed to give you away."
His words made me flinch while pain ripped through my chest. He wasn't wrong. I really was discarded today like trash.
"I also hate liars, so don't ever lie to me again." He warned sharply and I sucked in a sharp breath, fear lurching through my insides.
"That's the first rule I'll be giving you, never lie to me. And also, don't get on my nerves, unless I might be tempted to snap your slim looking throat." The intensity in his eyes as he spoke made me know he wasn't joking.
I wasn't able to breathe the rest of the way to his pack.

It was nighttime by the time we arrived in front of a palace that was ten times bigger than Jaden's, the size rendering me speechless.
My new owner exited the car first, and I climbed out after him, my entire body aching.
A woman ran out the large oak doors, her red dress flowing as she flew into the Alpha's arms.
"Auden! I missed you, why did you leave without me?" She cried and as I stared at the sight, I realized the alpha wasn't hugging her back. The woman wasn't fazed and instead of to talk his ears off.
When she stared at me, her eyes flashed as they raked over me assessingly.
"Is this the maiden that skank Jaden traded off to you? She looks like a weirdo freak."
I flinched at those words.
"Even better, she's gonna be my bride."
This woman looked like she was about to faint, clutching her chest dramatically.
"Why did you agree to sign the contract after taking a look at her?! This was why I wanted to come with you, then I'd have made sure you were given a better looking maiden." She cried out before sighing.
"Obviously, it's impossible to find someone that looks half as good as me, but I'd have been able to find someone who looks better than her."
I let out a scoff of disbelief. This woman was crazy, and I officially hated her.
"I had a long day, Violet. Let's continue this tomorrow." The alpha finally responded as he walked off into the building, just as she fell into steps beside him.
I was left with the two betas who focused on me. "We'll led you to the caretaker of the palace." They wernt rough with me, surprisingly.
They ended up leading me into the giant palace, and in no time, I was presented to a matured, snotish omega with tanned skin and her hair in a tight bun, who wrinkled her nose at my lack of scent.
"I'll be taking you to the Alpha's bedroom now, where you'll get ready and wait for him."
I almost fainted.
"His bedroom?!" I cried out.
"Of course, child. Isn't that why you're here? Don't tell me you had no idea."
No sound left my opened mouth.
While I assumed he'd have access to my body, especially after our conversation in the car, I believed he'd be uninterested tonight. I honestly didn't think this far, cause most of my fear was of him killing me and eating my soul right after we get here.
"I must warn you, the king has a rather large… appetite when it comes to the bedroom, and sometimes, the women don't even survive the night with him." The woman whispered the last part like it was a secret.
My face turned white. "W- what?!?"
