The Last Light in Room 13
Chapter 1: The Arrival
Arjun arrived at an old hotel on a stormy night. He was tired after a long journey and didn't care much about the place. The receptionist hesitated before giving him the key to Room 13.
"Are you sure you want this room?" she asked quietly.
Arjun laughed. "It's just a room."
But as he walked down the dim hallway, he felt like someone was watching him.
Chapter 2: The Strange Night
That night, the lights flickered constantly. The wind howled outside, but the windows were tightly shut. Around midnight, Arjun woke up to the sound of footsteps in his room.
Step… step… step…
He turned on the light, but no one was there.
When he looked at the mirror, he noticed something strange—there was a shadow behind him, but when he turned around, the room was empty.
Chapter 3: The Message
The next morning, Arjun found something written on the mirror:
"LEAVE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE."
His heart raced. He tried to wipe it off, but the words wouldn't disappear.
He went to the receptionist and asked about Room 13. She avoided his eyes and said, "Some guests… don't stay long."
That made Arjun uneasy, but he decided to stay one more night.
Chapter 4: The Secret of Room 13
Curious and frightened, Arjun asked an old worker about the room. The man whispered,
"Years ago, a woman died there. She waited for someone who never came. They say her spirit is still waiting… and she doesn't like strangers."
That night, Arjun felt the temperature drop suddenly. The air became cold and heavy.
Then he heard a soft voice: "Why are you here…?"
Chapter 5: The Encounter
The lights went out. In the darkness, Arjun saw a pale figure near the window. Slowly, it moved closer. It was a woman with long hair covering her face.
"Don't leave me…" she whispered.
Her voice echoed inside his head. Suddenly, she grabbed his arm—her touch was ice cold.
Arjun screamed and tried to pull away, but the door wouldn't open.
Chapter 6: The Last Light
With all his strength, Arjun broke free and rushed out as the lights flickered back on. He ran down the hallway and out of the hotel without looking back.
The next day, the receptionist found Room 13 empty—but the mirror had new words written on it:
"HE STAYED."
Some say if you pass that hotel at night, you can see two shadows standing in Room 13… waiting for someone else to arrive.
