In the dim room, Sasuke Uchiha's voice echoed.
Hearing his answer, Naruto Uzumaki grew visibly agitated.
"A ninja game? To you, are the memories of Team 7 nothing more than some childish game of pretend ninja?"
"I absolutely don't accept that! To me, those are the most precious memories of my life—you're one of the friends I treasure most!" Naruto shouted emotionally at Sasuke.
"Friends? I don't need something like that. To me, this kind of bond will only stand in my way." Sasuke's expression was cold and indifferent.
"Then why didn't you kill me back then?" Naruto demanded urgently.
"I just didn't want to gain power using the method that man told me about." Sasuke recalled what Itachi Uchiha had once said—killing your closest friend to gain strength.
Naruto looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant.
"To me, the only bond that matters is my hatred for my brother. And as for your so-called bond… today, I'll sever it with my own hands—using the power I've gained."
As soon as he finished speaking, Sasuke drew his Kusanagi Sword and charged straight at Naruto.
In an instant, he was already beside him, swinging his blade in a horizontal slash.
Kakashi appeared in front of Naruto, trying to block the strike with a kunai—but unexpectedly, the kunai was cut into by the Kusanagi Sword itself, unable to stop its advance.
Pshhk!
The blade pierced into Kakashi's right chest, blood spilling out.
"This kind of defense… what a failure. My Kusanagi Sword cannot be blocked, Kakashi," Sasuke said coldly, looking down at him.
Lightning then flowed from the blade, seeping into Kakashi's body through the wound, paralyzing him.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto and Sakura cried out in alarm.
"Damn it!" Naruto charged at Sasuke, throwing a punch.
Watching him approach, Sasuke showed not the slightest reaction. Calmly, he raised his left hand and caught Naruto's punch.
Staring at him expressionlessly, Sasuke said,
"Instead of chasing me so desperately, you should focus on your training, Naruto. Right now, you're weak. I don't even find you worth my interest."
Naruto stared at him, stunned, his brows tightly furrowed.
Sasuke turned to Kakashi and said slowly, "Taste the power of lightning."
Chidori Current!
Lightning surged through Sasuke's hand, spreading across Kakashi and Naruto, sending both of them flying backward.
Kakashi steadied himself again and stared at Sasuke.
"Sasuke, don't forget—who taught you Chidori?"
The lightning hadn't caused Kakashi much damage, but Naruto collapsed to the ground, unable to get up.
Sakura quickly rushed over to check on Naruto. After confirming he was alright, she walked over to Kakashi and stared seriously at Sasuke.
I'll bring Sasuke back to the Hidden Leaf Village with my own strength, she swore inwardly.
Sasuke, however, remained unmoved, watching them calmly.
Kakashi lifted his forehead protector, revealing his left eye.
Seeing the Sharingan, Sasuke's previously calm heart finally stirred slightly.
"Kakashi! An outsider like you dares to use the power of the Uchiha clan against me? Do you even understand what true Uchiha power is?"
Kakashi slowly raised his right hand toward his left eye, recalling his old friend, Obito Uchiha.
"Obito… let me use this eye to guide your clansman back onto the right path."
His Sharingan began to change—no longer the three-tomoe form, but transforming into a pattern like three curved blades, locking onto Sasuke's right arm.
Kamui!
Sasuke frowned slightly, sensing something off. He glanced sideways and quickly retreated, causing Kakashi's attack to miss.
Using the Mangekyō Sharingan for the first time, Kakashi was still unskilled. He failed to harm Sasuke at all. His left eye throbbed with pain, and the attack had consumed a large amount of chakra.
Now visibly weakened, Kakashi stood there, while Sasuke calmly observed him, his composure unaffected.
At that moment, Naruto, who had fallen, struggled to stand up, clutching his chest. He looked at Sasuke in confusion.
"Why are you still so stubborn? If you stay with Orochimaru, he'll take your body!"
Sasuke looked at him coldly. "So what? You're as naïve as ever, Naruto. For me, the meaning of life is revenge."
"What happens to the world doesn't matter to me. To gain the power needed to kill that man… I'll give up anything—even my life!"
His voice was icy.
Naruto was stunned into silence. Was it really necessary to go that far?
"Our reunion ends here. Now it's time to sever this bond. Goodbye."
As his words fell, lightning began gathering in Sasuke's hand, rapidly condensing around him.
He moved, charging at Naruto. "This is the end, Naruto!"
Chidori!
"Damn it!" Kakashi saw Sasuke rushing toward Naruto, but the aftereffects of Kamui left him unable to move and assist. Sakura froze for a moment.
"Naruto!" she shouted anxiously.
Kakashi quickly pulled out the bone Rorin had given him before they left, infused it with chakra, and threw it toward Naruto.
Please… I'm counting on you, Kakashi thought.
Seeing the bone Kakashi had thrown, Sakura's pupils shrank. "That is—!"
Sasuke, noticing the bone flying toward Naruto, sneered.
"Kakashi, if you think such a petty sneak attack can stop me, you're gravely mistaken. Copy Ninja Kakashi… nothing impressive. You're next."
At the very instant Sasuke's Chidori was about to strike Naruto, Naruto stared blankly at him, frozen—not because he didn't want to move, but because his injuries left him unable to.
Inside Naruto, the Nine-Tails sensed the danger and was about to release chakra to protect him—
When suddenly, a figure appeared in front of Naruto.
Boom!
Sasuke was knocked back, his Chidori slamming into the ground, sending dust into the air. Regaining his footing, he fixed his gaze on the person who had just appeared.
Then a slightly complaining voice rang out—
"I'm telling you, Kakashi-sensei, next time don't just throw my bones around like that. I almost didn't react in time… seriously."
Rorin shook his right hand and grumbled.
