Chapter 110 - Chapter 105 : Battle of kashyyyk surface

Orbit above Kashyyyk burned with drifting wreckage.

Munificent frigates split apart like cracked shells. Recusant destroyers tumbled through vacuum, their engines dying one by one. The massive silhouettes of the Lucrehulks were surrounded by clouds of debris and disabled Vulture droids.

On the bridge of the *Terminus*, the tactical display steadily shifted from red to green.

"General," the sensor officer reported, "enemy fleet cohesion has collapsed. Remaining vessels are attempting retreat vectors."

I shook my head.

"Not today."

"Signal all formations," I ordered. "Pursue and eliminate."

---

## The End of the Blockade

The Consular arrow formations tightened once more.

Under the influence of my **Battle Meditation**, every pilot moved with impossible precision.

"Arrow Group Three, flank the Recusant."

"Group Seven, cut off those Munificents."

"Yes, General!" voices answered across the comms.

V-19 Torrents and TIE Interceptors surged forward like hunting birds.

Within seconds the final Munificent frigate erupted in flames.

"Enemy frigate destroyed!"

The last **Recusant-class destroyer** attempted to jump to hyperspace.

The *Terminus* fired first.

A full turbolaser volley slammed into its engines.

The destroyer shattered in a brilliant explosion.

"Final capital ship eliminated," the tactical officer confirmed.

Captain Ragnos allowed himself a grin.

"That's the blockade gone."

I nodded.

"Then we take the fight to the surface."

# Kashyyyk – Ground Assault

The jungles of Kashyyyk were ablaze.

CIS forces and **Trandoshan slavers** had pushed deep into the Wookiee cities, pinning defenders in massive tree platforms.

But now the sky belonged to the Republic.

"Launch gunships," I ordered.

From the hangars of the *Terminus* and the Acclamators, waves of **LAAT gunships** descended toward the forests below.

Only the modified **Raven-class gunships** remained unchanged.

Every other LAAT had been refitted.

Instead of the standard side beam cannons, they now carried the **MWC-35c "Staccato Lightning" repeating cannon**.

"Gunships entering atmosphere," the flight controller announced.

"Enemy ground forces detected across multiple sectors."

"Engage."

---

## Staccato Lightning

The gunships opened fire.

The **Staccato Lightning cannons** unleashed streams of rapid blaster fire, ripping through B1 battle droids and armored vehicles alike.

Droid lines collapsed under the relentless barrage.

"Direct hits!"

"Droid armor destroyed!"

Gunships swept low across the forest canopy.

Separatist spider droids exploded.

AAT tanks burned.

Pinned Wookiee warriors roared as they saw the Republic gunships arrive.

"Wookiee forces advancing!" a ground officer reported.

Across Kashyyyk, the tide of battle turned.

The Wookiees surged forward with overwhelming strength.

Bowcasters roared.

Massive warriors tore through droid ranks with brute force.

The **Trandoshan slavers** attempted to flee aboard transports.

They never made it.

"Enemy transports attempting escape!" a pilot reported.

"Shoot them down," I said.

A squadron of TIE Interceptors dove from orbit.

The Trandoshan ships exploded one after another.

"Targets eliminated."

# Victory

Hours later, the fires of battle still burned across Kashyyyk's forests.

But the world was free.

Republic forces landed near one of the massive Wookiee tree cities.

Standing beside me was **Ahsoka Tano**, her orange face lit by the fading fires of the battlefield.

"That was intense," she said with a tired smile.

"You handled it well," I replied.

Before she could answer, a massive shadow approached.

The towering Wookiee chieftain **Tarfful** strode toward us.

His fur was scorched from battle, but his presence radiated strength.

He let out a deep, powerful growl of gratitude.

Then, without warning—

He grabbed both of us.

And pulled us into a crushing **Wookiee bear hug**.

Ahsoka's eyes widened.

"Okay—wow—Wookiees are strong!"

Tarfful barked happily.

I answered him in **Shyriiwook**, the Wookiee language.

"Your warriors fought bravely. Kashyyyk stands because of them."

Tarfful gave an approving rumble.

Then he signaled to several Wookiees behind him.

They brought forward bundles of wood—massive, dense pieces of ancient Kashyyyk trees.

I recognized it immediately.

"Wroshyr wood," I said.

Tarfful nodded proudly.

The legendary trees of Kashyyyk were incredibly strong. Wookiees used them for armor and weapons for generations.

Ahsoka tilted her head.

"Let me guess… you're already thinking about turning that into armor."

I smiled slightly.

"Something like that."

# The Recording

Nearby, **Visenya** stood quietly with a holo-recorder.

The device captured everything.

The burning forests.

Republic gunships landing.

Wookiee warriors roaring in victory.

Tarfful embracing the Republic commanders.

Visenya checked the recording.

"Perfect."

She transmitted the footage directly to the **Holonet**.

Across the galaxy, millions watched the broadcast.

The images showed the skies of Kashyyyk filled with fire as Republic forces shattered the Separatist blockade.

The narration echoed across the transmission:

"Republic forces have successfully liberated Kashyyyk. Under the command of General Dagon, Republic fleets broke the Separatist blockade and assisted Wookiee defenders in reclaiming their world."

Onscreen, Wookiee warriors raised their weapons and roared in triumph.

The world had been saved.

And the Republic flag once again flew above the forests of Kashyyyk.
